This is one of those times I really do wish we had a second lift that was a two post. When we expand our shop someday, we will have a two post lift, but unfortunately my four post lift sits nine inches off the ground and it creates limitations. This is the first time I’ve had to turn a customer away because I could not actually get their car on the lift without risk of scraping the ground effects. This is a really clean, very low mileage Infiniti G37. This car came from Texas and literally has less than 50,000 miles on it. I really wanted to undercoat this vehicle, but I told the customer I didn’t wanna take the risk of damaging such a nice clean vehicle. When we do expand the shop and get a two post lift, I hope to be his annual undercoater. Until then, I had to turn him away. Yes, I could have used boards and jerry-rigged something to get the car on the lift, but once again, it’s not worth the risk to me. I recommended he take it to a specific undercoater that I know does good work in another town that does have a two post lift. I’m always happy to share business with other undercoaters that have a really good reputation for quality.
