I have a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible in the shop for a new top. Only problem is the frame was broken and had several wear areas from before. First the fixes then the vinyl.

One door panel is sewn, glued and has a trial fit on the 49 Chevy. A few small details yet and the brightwork.

This top on a 66 Galaxie 500 is a bit rough and wouldn't close. Seized joints, broken arms and loose bolts didn't help. At least it goes up and down with everything removed! Now for the rebuild.

A big piece of carpet was put in the 49 today. A little glue and a bit of steam helped lay it down. The console bolted right in and the passenger seat locks down the right side. After a bit of adjustment the driver's seat can go in.

The front carpets are ready to be sewn together. It will be very nice to have them installed.

The carpet padding is going into the 49 Chevy. I also did a prefit of the sill plates and finalized the seatbelt holes. The console is getting a piano hinge to keep all the storage.

Both kick panels are in plus the under dash is covered and in place. Door panels and carpet are next.
