No thata not clouds. Or humidity or haze. Its smoke the sets are cloud free. The sun barley visible and breathing is like having your head over a campfire ugh.

Some ya win some ya lose. My last unit was so pretty. But this one well even after grinding. Washing soda blasting . Washing again heating drying. Painting heating well not so pretty.
I would say I'll make it extra nice on the inside. Trouble is I already do that anyway.
Pictures show what I started with and finished with. Gotta love salt n the great white north.
Also had a bolt i had to drill out n tap. Though seems this is for a camaro which does not use that spot for anything. Ugh now shower the soda. Dirt. Blood. Paint off me at 10.53 pm .

Ran into this today on a vette servo I got new. The seals were already on it. But I always look .
The first is what came with my servo. Note almost no overlap. This one would leak as it would actually push the gap apart and leave a hole.
The second set is factory. See the over cut. This is proper and yes will still spread but with the overlap will not leak.
THIS IS NOT AN ARGUMENT OR DISCUSSION OVER TEFLON VERSES D RINGS.
It is just for people to be aware of. Always check.

Hey does anyone have or know of a video showing a way to replace the linkage rod on a 4l60e (long rod that goes to rear) not the shaft without removing VB. I have done this a few times in the past but explaining it is well beyond the words I have. The tedious part is getting the manual linkage rod in place.
Note was trying to help a NON customer who got trans from someplace else who has some issue with the linkage rod mechanisim that causes it to get stuck on the park paw.
If not maybe this will be a video I will make on my next build. Yes for all the other builders out there , I realize it is easier to just remove the VB for us, Bu this guy is not a builder and the trans is not mine. So not willing to take responsibility for talking him through a whole vb removal .

I was ask about this photo and the disc down in the sun gear, This is the disc from a 1mm increment bushing set I use to remove and install most bushings, In this case its a removal about to go on press. I like to try and avoid screw drivers, punches and cutting as much as possible

Tomorrow is cleanup day-finish boxing up two shift kits to send out and start on Leal also a stage 1 for camaro. Probably not as many pics however, I am a bit behind (SORRY FOR ANY IN WAIT) So need to pick up the pace a bit.
Pictures and documentation, questions and answers, explainations take up considerable time. Though I do photo all builds usually not to the level of this past one.
Photos are for transparency and removal of doubt, While I have been lucky and had very very few failures over the last now 4 years. When you have builds well documented you dont run into the didnt do this or that or this part or that and it helps with customer confidence too, But again takes considerable extra time.
