C & R Radiator Inc provides cleaning and repair services for all types of heat exchangers including radiators, heater cores, charge air coolers, oil coolers, a/c condensers, and EGR coolers in the ND/SD area. We have some exciting news to share. As you know, early this summer, Shannon Meidinger (formally of Auto Air and Cruise), joined our team as our mechanic to take care of the air conditioning and auto repair side of our business. He is doing a great job and has become a true asset to C&R Radiator.
Throughout the summer he has been contacted by previous customers of Auto Air and Cruise, and others, asking if he is still installing and repairing remote car starters.
After sitting down with Shannon, discussing the pros and cons, we have decided to add remote car starter installation and repair to the services we offer.
We have setup your account with the vendor, that Shannon has worked with for years. This coming week we will start receiving our inventory and start scheduling appointments.
If you don't know Shannon has been installing and repairing remote starters for years and is highly respected in the industry.

It has been a busy summer, I haven't had the chance to take pictures and post them until now. These are some of the Shell and Tube oil coolers we worked on this summer. Some of them have fixed tube bundles, we clean the shell and tube bundle as a complete assembly then replace the bonnet gadkets and pressure test the cooler. Others are MESABI brand oil coolers, the tubes are held in place and sealed with rubber seals, so we are able to disassemble the oil cooler. Clean all components, inspect them, replace the seals, assemble and pressure test the assembly.

It's been a while since I've had time to post some of the cars we have been working on for our customers. We had this beautiful 72 El Camino in for a maintenance coolant flush and inspection. We also had this beautiful 64 Impala with a 409, 4 speed trans. and factory AC in for quite a bit of work. We recored the radiator, coolant flush, replaced the hoses, clamps, thermostat and coolant temp sensor. Then moved on to the heater box, we replaced the knots on the control levers and l**e the cables. Then disassembled the heater box to repair the blend door and replaced some deteriorated seals. Next we replaced the cigarette lighter and repaired the wiring to the lighter and blower motor connection, also replaced the glove box while it was out. Then moved on to the AC, got that converted to 134a and working.

Finished the AC in this beautiful 67 Cougar today. We made custom hoses, replaced the receiver dryer, cleaned and tested the condenser, charged it with freon and repaired some vacuum issues. Now the car is as cool as it looks.

With this extended heatwave we have a high demand for AC repair. We are keeping Shannon busier than I had expected, and he keeps surprising me with his knowledge, speed and precision. Everytime I think I have over scheduled him, he knocks those out and more.
We still have a few openings for next week, schedule your vehicle while you can.

Making this beautiful 57 Chevy even cooler then it is. It came in because the AC wasn't working. We found a leaking AC hose, made a new hose and a couple of preventive repairs then recharged the system. Now the cabin temp will be comfortable for cruising.

We wish everyone a Safe and Happy 4th of July celebration. We will be closed on Friday July 3rd to give our employees a well deserved holiday weekend. We will be open normal hours (8-5) the rest of the week and will resume normal hours on Monday July 6. God Bless America!!!

We want our customers to know that we are open, just difficult to access do to road work as the water main is being replaced. If you are coming from Airport Road, you will have to turn on East Indiana Ave. and follow it around to Sweet Ave or from Main Ave. turn south on 24th Street. Then right on Front Ave and left on 22nd St and right on Sweet Ave. Sorry for the inconvenience.
