Colorado's terrain doesn't leave much room for error — narrow mountain passes and backcountry roads that a standard engine just can't navigate. Crews need something smaller and more agile without giving up capability, especially heading into fire season.
That's the gap our Xtreme Type 6 Sawtooth fills. Built on a Ford Motor Company F550 chassis, this unit is equipped with a Darley 1-1/2 AGE Kubota D902 Diesel Auxiliary Pump, 300-gallon poly water tank, Hannay Reels electric rewind hose reel, and a Whelen Engineering Company, Inc. light and siren package with additional HiViz LED Lighting Firetech lighting.
This latest delivery to the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control adds another BME unit to their fleet — giving crews a truck that can get into the tight, rugged spots larger apparatus can't reach.
