Just two days can change everything.
These photos of the Big River at our river bottom area were taken on July 8 and July 10. The difference is a powerful reminder of how quickly nature can change.
Our hearts and prayers are with every family affected by the flooding, especially those who have been stranded, displaced, or needed rescue. We are deeply grateful for the first responders, rescue teams, firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and volunteers who continue working around the clock to protect our communities.
We also want to reassure our current and future guests that while the river is beautiful to enjoy, all RV sites at Patt's Place are located outside the floodplain. Our campers remain safe and secure in their designated sites while still being able to enjoy the beauty of the Big River when conditions return to normal.
Please continue to keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers, and stay safe by avoiding flooded roadways and river access until the water recedes.

Last night, our guests enjoyed an incredible fireworks display presented by Lake Lafitte, all from the comfort of Patt's Place. It was a wonderful way to begin celebrating Independence Day together.

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday today, we're reminded how grateful we are for the freedoms that make moments like these possibleโ€”the freedom to travel, explore this beautiful country, gather with family and friends, and create lasting memories.
