For most modern gasoline vehicles, you don't need to let the engine idle for 10 minutes before driving.
After starting your vehicle, allowing a brief moment for the engine to settle before driving gently is generally sufficient. Avoid hard acceleration until the engine reaches its normal operating temperature.
Of course, make sure your windows are fully defrosted and visibility is clear before hitting the road! βοΈ
So if you've been sitting in your driveway for 10 minutes every cold Iowa morning, you might be able to save yourself a little time and fuel this winter! π
