This Panoz, LMP Ford was literally steaming when we put it in the crate.
It jumped on a delta jet and headed to to the UK.
The Scott Sport guys did a beautiful job getting the engine and car well sorted.
Lee Penn stepped up to help with some top notch chassis and engine tuning.
It takes a village.
The result was a double overall win at the Spa Classic.
Well done all!

Panoz LMP ready to dyno.
This one was well used in Europe and needed a ton to get back in shape.
Beyond the massive parts list for a basic rebuild it needed a few lifter bushings, liners, valve guides, valve seats, small end rod bushings plus more.
These are still wildly popular around the world and make a recognizable thunder that echos from the track.

Doing one of these is super tough to get right.
Imagine developing and producing 14 engines for LeMans in the year 2000.
It was serious work from a group assembled by Derrick Peacock(Now Roush/Yates engines) and Malcolm Ridgway(Zytek).
Dudes from around the world worked 7 days a week for 10-12 hours for many months.
What an awesome group of people that was.
I think we finished all six cars that entered the race( a couple may have limped across).
We still build and service a bunch of these and each is a cool reminder of the original crew here.

Congrats to our terrific customers.
SCCA, Road Atlanta Super tour.
Elan powered the fastest four cars on the property. (200+ cars)
John McAleer with a hooked car and a sack of courage was the winner.

Carlos Sobrino has returned his coyote ford for a tune up.
He says it needs to run in the 7’s.
I think that will have to be about 1000 hp from 335 cubic inches, naturally aspirated.
Challenge accepted

These 7/16”, double tapered pushrods are difficult to package(they clear this head by .015”, they’ll rub at speed and thats ok) but they’re worth the trouble.
T&D rockers, Smith brothers pushrods, Jesel lifters, PSI springs, xceldyne valves, PPPC retainers locks and seats.
That’s a real good head start on being successful.
