I brought my own 69 Malibu into the shop this weekend for some maintenance after the brakes started squealing the other day. This is the first old car of my own I’ve had to do brakes on since it’s been back on the road in 2003. I’ve put 50,000 miles on it since then. Some fresh pads and a pass on the brake lathe for the rotors and all will be good again.

Here is something that can or is a problem with aftermarket sheet metal. This is an AMD hood for a 70-72 Chevelle in which the receiving nut for the hood hinge bolt is misaligned with the hood hinge slot. This will cause the hood to be difficult to align correctly pulling it toward the fender. See the before and after pics of the hood gap to the fender. Now to correct it.
