When your A/C stops blowing cold and a recharge doesn't fix it, the problem might be deeper than you think. Literally.

This Nissan Rogue needed an evaporator core replacement. The evaporator sits behind your dashboard inside the HVAC housing. To get to it, the entire dash has to come apart. Steering column, center console, instrument panel, HVAC box, all of it. Then the refrigerant system has to be evacuated, the old core pulled, the new one installed, everything reassembled, and the system recharged and tested for leaks.

This is one of the most labor-intensive A/C repairs there is. Most shops will quote you for it and hope you say no. Some won't even attempt it because of how many components have to be removed and reinstalled without damaging a single clip, connector, or wire.

We don't shy away from the hard jobs. This is the kind of work that takes patience, experience, and a team that's done it enough times to do it right. Every panel goes back where it came from. Every clip seats properly. No rattles. No leftover bolts.

If your A/C isn't cooling and you've been told it's the evaporator, don't panic. And don't let a shop scare you with the price before they explain what's actually involved. Call us and we'll walk you through it honestly.

This is what finding an electrical problem actually looks like. It's not plugging in a scanner and reading a code. It's tearing the entire dash apart and tracing wires by hand.

This 1999 Chevy Tahoe had electrical issues that needed to be tracked down at the source. That meant pulling the dash panels, exposing the steering column, and getting face to face with dozens of wiring harnesses, connectors, and fuse blocks. Every wire is a possibility. Every connector is a suspect. You test, you trace, you eliminate until you find it.

This is the work nobody wants to do. It's cramped. It's time-consuming. And if you don't know what you're looking at, you can spend hours chasing the wrong circuit. That's why most shops either refuse electrical work or just start replacing parts and hoping something fixes it.

We don't guess. We get in there with a flashlight, a meter, and the patience to find the actual problem. That's what electrical diagnosis means at A&D Auto Workz.

If your vehicle has electrical gremlins that nobody can solve, gauges acting up, lights flickering, systems shutting down randomly, or anything that doesn't make sense, bring it to someone who will actually trace it to the source.

When your steering feels loose, wanders on the highway, or makes noise when you turn, it's not something you ignore. Your steering gear is what connects your hands on the wheel to your tires on the road. When it fails, you lose control of the one thing that keeps you safe.

This Ford Ta**us Police Interceptor came in for a full steering gear removal and replacement. The steering rack was worn and needed to come out completely. That means disconnecting the tie rods, power steering lines, subframe components, and pulling the entire unit before installing the new one and aligning everything back to spec.

This is not a quick fix. It's labor-intensive work that requires the right tools, the right knowledge, and the patience to do it correctly. A steering gear installed wrong means your car doesn't track straight, your tires wear unevenly, and your alignment is off from day one.

We do it right the first time. Every connection torqued to spec. Every line checked for leaks. Alignment verified before it leaves the shop.

This is what it looks like when we get deep into a Volkswagen.

2014 VW Jetta in the shop for an upper intake manifold reseal, water pump replacement, new spark plugs, speed sensor replacement, and radiator fan repair. That's not one problem. That's five. And we're handling all of them in one visit.

That second photo shows the engine torn down with the intake manifold pulled. Most people have never seen their engine look like this. It's complex, it's detailed, and every hose, sensor, and connector has to go back exactly where it came from.

This is why choosing the right shop matters. A quick l**e can change your oil. But when your VW needs real work, you need a technician who has been inside these engines hundreds of times and knows them by feel.

Alex is Volkswagen dealership-trained. He grew up working on VWs alongside his dad Roger. From air-cooled Beetles to modern TSI engines, this family has been inside more Volkswagen engine bays than most dealership techs will see in their entire career.

When your VW needs more than basic maintenance, bring it to the shop that knows these cars inside and out.

Remember this red Foxbody? The upgrades are rolling in.

SVE rear differential installed. Rear drum-to-disc brake conversion with drilled and slotted rotors and red calipers. This Mustang is getting serious.

Ditching the factory rear drums for a proper disc brake setup is one of the best upgrades you can do on a Foxbody. Drums fade under heat, don't cool efficiently, and weren't designed for the kind of power most built Foxbodies are making now. Drilled and slotted rotors dissipate heat faster, resist fade, and give you consistent stopping power whether you're on the street or at the track. The red calipers don't hurt either.

The SVE rear diff ties the whole drivetrain together. Stronger housing. Better gear support. Built to handle the power without flexing or failing under load. This is the foundation you need before you start adding more horsepower.

This is real performance work. Not bolt-on accessories. Not cosmetic mods. Functional upgrades that make the car faster, safer, and more capable. The kind of work that takes drivetrain knowledge and experience to get right.

If your car is shaking more than it should, vibrating at idle, or you're feeling every bump through the steering wheel and the seat, it might not be your engine. It might be what's holding your engine in place.

This Cadillac ATS came in with worn motor mounts and a failing transmission mount. When these mounts break down, the engine and transmission shift and move in ways they were never designed to. That causes vibration, clunking noises, misalignment, and stress on other drivetrain components that can lead to bigger problems down the road.

We replaced both the motor mounts and the transmission mount and the difference is night and day. Smooth idle. Quiet operation. No more vibration through the cabin. The car drives the way Cadillac intended it to.

This is one of those repairs that most people don't even know they need. They just live with the vibration and assume it's normal. It's not. And the longer you wait, the more damage worn mounts can do to your exhaust, your wiring, and your drivetrain.

If something feels off when your car is idling or shifting, bring it in. We'll put it on the lift and show you exactly what's going on.

When someone pulls up in a classic Triumph Spitfire, you know they care about their car. And they need a shop that cares just as much.

This one is clean. Cream exterior. Black and red leather interior. Wood grain dash. Manual transmission. Chrome everywhere. This is what driving was supposed to feel like before computers took over.

Classic British sports cars like the Spitfire are getting harder to find good shops for. Parts are specific. The electrical systems are unique. The engines are simple but require someone who actually understands them. Most shops take one look at a car like this and say they can't help.

We don't turn cars away because they're different. We welcome them because they're special. From vintage British roadsters to German performance cars to Japanese imports, A&D Auto Workz handles vehicles that most shops in the area won't touch.

That's what over 40 years of combined family experience gives you. The confidence to work on anything that rolls through the door and the skill to do it right.

Florida summer is about to hit and your A/C is either ready or it's not. Don't wait until you're sitting in traffic on US-1 in August sweating through your shirt to find out.

This Honda is hooked up right now getting a full A/C service at A&D Auto Workz. Here's what most people don't know about their car's air conditioning system and why waiting until it breaks costs you more than maintaining it now.

Your cabin pollen filter is the first thing to check. When it's clogged, your A/C has to work harder to push air through. That means weaker airflow, higher cabin temps, and more strain on the entire system. A simple pollen filter replacement can make a noticeable difference in how cold your A/C blows and how efficiently it runs.

Your refrigerant level matters more than you think. Low Freon doesn't just mean warm air. It means your compressor is working overtime without proper lubrication. That leads to premature wear on the compressor, condenser, and expansion valve. A system that's low on Freon today is a system that needs a $1,000+ compressor replacement next month. We check the capacity, verify it's at the correct level, and make sure the system is holding pressure the way it should.

Beyond that, we inspect the condenser for debris and damage, check the drive belt, test the blower motor, and look for any leaks in the lines and fittings. A full A/C system inspection catches the small stuff before it turns into the expensive stuff.

Don't wait for it to fail. Get ahead of it.

This is what a busy day at A&D Auto Workz looks like.

A VW Corrado. A classic VW Beetle with Alex’s dad under the hood doing what he's been doing for over 40 years. A classic Mustang convertible. An orange VW Beetle. A Foxbody Mustang. And more waiting in line.

Six different vehicles. Six different platforms. Six different owners who all chose the same shop.

That's not an accident. That's what happens when you build a reputation on doing the job right, communicating honestly, and charging fair prices. People don't just come back. They tell their friends.

A lot of shops specialize in one thing. We specialize in getting it right. German, American, Japanese, classic, modern. If it has an engine, we know how to work on it. And if we don't know, we learn. That's the standard Roger set decades ago and it's the standard Alex carries forward every single day.

This lot tells the whole story. A&D Auto Workz isn't just a shop. It's where the community brings their cars when they want the job done right by people they trust.
