Racecars packed the pit area and fans packed the stands for the Pins And Pistons Race For The Ribbon at Jefferson Speedway. State Bank presented twin 57 lap Late Model Features. The event that benefited Jefferson and Rock County Cancer Coalitions.
Casey Johnson methodically worked his way through the star studded field to claim victory in the first Taylored Construction and Remodeling Late Model Feature. Johnson battled hard with Michael Grueneberg throughout the event. When the checkers flew, Johnson narrowly edged Grueneberg for the win. Jackson Lewis was right there for third. Dylan Schuyler and Carson Phillips rounded out the top five.
Tyler Deporter claimed the biggest victory of his young career by winning the second 57 lap event. Deporter held off a late race challenge by Blake Nottestad. The two future stars made heavy contact battling for the lead. Both would continue on, but Nottestad lost numerous positions. At the stripe, Deporter held off Lewis for the win. Johnson was in striking distance, but settled for third. Jason Erickson finished fourth, followed by Nottestad. Casey Johnson was the overall champion for the Pins and Pistons Race For The Ribbon.
Eugene Gregorich III was victorious in the Non Qualifiers Feature. Shane Radtke Jr. and Scott Patrick won the Qualifying Races. Evan Hassler and Chris Chenoweth won the Last Chance Races. Jason Erickson was at the top of the charts in qualifying.
Mark English won the Wolff Pack Apparel and Promotions International Feature. The seven time champ held off Mark Dewey, Jason Uttech, Merek Pankow, and David Russell Jr. Karter Stark was Fast Qualifier. Heats were won by Camden Ricketts, Dewey, and Stark. Jose Santacruz was victorious in the Last Chance.
Waylon Robinson was the Feature Winner for the Hard Rock Landscape Hobby Stocks. Robinson started deep in the field and made the winning pass on Jake Mathison with three laps to go. Shane Strothman, Jessica Breunig, and Shane Radtke Jr. rounded out the top five. Strothman wouldn't pass post race technical inspection. This moved Chester Williams into the top five. Strothman was still credited the Fast Qualifier Award. Heats were won by Elliot Hawkins and Teegan Wangsness.
Miguel Baladez led every lap of the PJβs Painting Bandit Feature. Baladez earned his first career feature win on one of the most prestigious nights ever at "Wisconsin's Action Track." Jordan Goecks, Matt Krinke, Devon Dixon, and Axel Oldenhoff rounded out the top five. Krinke was the evening's fast qualifier. Heats were won by Jase Seitz, Casie Brabant, Trent Rueth, and Oldenhoff. Mason Lenz won the Consy. Leeland Hawkins won the Last Chance.
