Each year the Cave City Watermelon Festival invites you to "come home" for family, friendship, and fun. With a parade, live entertainment, crafts, food, games for all ages, antique tractors, a car show, and much more, there is literally something for everyone. Since 1980, we have been celebrating our town and its rich history of producing the world’s sweetest watermelons. The festival has prospere

One of the most anticipated traditions of the Cave City Watermelon Festival is almost here!

Join us for the 2026 Cave City Watermelon Festival Parade on Saturday, July 25, and help us celebrate this year's theme:

🍉 Patriotic Watermelons 🍉

This year, floats will be judged, and one lucky participant will take home the title of Best Float!

📍 Parade Lineup: Cave City Middle School Parking Lot
🕣 Lineup Begins: 8:30 AM
🎉 Parade Starts: 10:00 AM Sharp

Want to be considered for the Best Float Award?

Simply fill out a short judging form when you check in. You'll receive a parade number that must be displayed on your float for judging purposes.

Whether you're representing a business, church, organization, school, or just a group of friends, we encourage you to get creative and show off your patriotic spirit with a watermelon twist!

Join us for the Melon Dash 5K on Saturday, July 25 at 7:00 AM at Cave City City Park. Whether you're a serious runner, casual walker, or just looking for a fun way to start your day, this race is for you!
