It’s officially EVO season here!

The last 10 days have been busy and I’ve been slow to respond don’t take it personally my works worth the wait. Come once, pay what you were quoted, and ENJOY YOUR CAR.

In the last 10 days just for EVO X cars;

Grey gsr: ACT HDSS clutch and flywheel, drivetrain fluids, oil change, 62mm stock location turbo upgrade, Fuel system upgrade with 450lph pump radium fuel lines + rail and fpr with IDX1300 injectors, powder coated intake manifold, valve cover, strut brace, turbo outlet pipe.

Grey Mr: Install powder coated rear subframe and new to us fuel tank, upgrade to 340lph fuel pump, clean up otherwise untouchable areas of the chassis, new axle, new wheel bearings, powder coat charge piping, maf housing and intake.

White gsr: Built trans installation, Timing chain and guide replacement, water pump replacement, spark plugs drivetrain fluids, oil change

Been servicing a lot of F and G series M cars recently

This F80 M3 today was victim to the single rear differential bushing failure that these commonly experience. Best solution is to add one and upgrade the bushings at the same time. Also took the time to install some Catless downpipes and make it not just feel like a maintenance visit.

Always forget to post the satisfying stuff we do 😅

Evo X undercarriage stripped, hand scrubbed with salt and brine remover and degreased, rear subframe refinished, all rust treated and fully hard undercoated then oil coated inside chassis and subframes.

Even if your car gets stored in the winter that doesn’t mean it will never rust or need attention. At least protecting it this way as opposed to just oil undercoating, when you want to (or we have to) work on the underside no one gets covered in oil. Trust it’s not a great time if you haven’t been through it 😂

I don't usually make posts like this but I felt that I needed to make a PSA. Stop going to the cheapest shop. Cheaper is not always the best option as they are usually cheaper for a reason. Unfortunately, more often I am seeing jobs not being done properly and/or necessary parts are not being replaced. As a shop owner, I do not enjoy relaying to the customer about the previous work not being completed properly. Which turns into more money being spent to fix it correctly. There are plenty of good shops and technicians out there, but not all are equal. My advice? When receiving a quote, ask what it entails and compare them to meet what you are looking to receive as a service.

Prime example on the lift today:

MK6 GTI with seeping water pump that another shop recently did a carbon cleaning on. Twice. Due to it having an issue the first time. To do properly you have to pull the intake manifold off and the water pump is right there. A good shop would see the leak and suggest replacing it. The previous shop did not inform the customer and they didn’t even do the carbon cleaning. Numerous electrical connectors were broken and they glued them back together. No injector seals or intake manifold gasket were replaced.

This vehicle originally came to me for an oil change and I noticed a coolant leak, a repair was suggested. If the other shop did their job correctly this would have been noticed at least one of the two times they “had it apart”.

Although my quote may have been slightly higher than the other shop. The initial repair would have been done properly and with only one trip.

Please save yourself the headache and money. Do your research and go to a reputable shop.
