There’s only one way to fix
blems in a matte or satin finish.
Sand and reclear.
There’s blemishes and anomalies in EVERY paint job…
(Seriously, I’ve never completed a PERFECT paint job)
But the level of acceptance of blems has many factors involved with every project.
Time,
Budget,
Materials quality,
Part quality,
Environmental quality,
Air quality,
And what the desired out come is.
Matte finishes are interesting because they are more forgiving in clear TEXTURE, (seriously, matte finishes hide texture better)
but require more diligence for actual blemishes and trash particles that get into the clear.
And these lids are getting redone.
