Customer upgraded to a Stratoliner,
So his old ride has to GO!

This one needs a good home,
She’s super clean, WAY low miles,
Garage kept, and READY TO RIDE!

One job…
“See why the air ride don’t work.”

Three problems.

Two electrical, and a pump issue.

1. They literally make connectors for this.

Heat shrink the individual wires.
Not the relay!
(Or use the heat shrink spade connectors)

Moisture got INTO the heat shrink… and couldn’t get out.
Corroded the pin and connector.

2.
They make eyelet and threaded connectors for a reason.
Don’t use spade connectors for bolted connections.
They wiggle loose on high movement areas.

That at least gets the system
OPERATING…

Now let’s see why it won’t lift
the bike.

Ahh…
There it is.
Pump seal.

(Soapy water don’t lie.)

Sometimes it doesn’t matter how
well,
correct,
right,
Best you can,
Or expensive the system was…
(This was a commercial “kit”)

Everything has a possibility for failure.

UPDATE:

The pump cover plate was loose as well.

Part 1.
Honda switch housings.
(This is EXTREMELY common.)

Do your REPAIRS first.

If you build on a broken system,
Then you can’t always tell if it was something you did incorrectly or accidentally.

Even if you do your part PERFECTLY,
You’ll still wonder if you did something wrong.

It creates confusion,
And makes it harder to sort out later.

Luckily, this one wasn’t modified too much before the upgrades,
And was brought to me to finish the install…
I just had to sort out the system before I could actually do the easy part.
