Your rack and pinion is what translates your steering wheel movements directly to your front tires. When it starts wearing out, driving can quickly become unsafe.

If you haven't changed yours recently, here is why you should:

Breathe Cleaner Air: This filter is the only thing standing between the outside smog, pollen, and dust, and the air inside your cabin.
Save Your A/C System: When a filter is this clogged, your HVAC fan has to work twice as hard to push air through. That means weaker airflow and extra strain on your system.
Get Rid of Musty Odors: Trapped moisture and organic debris like this are exactly what cause that stale, funky smell when you turn on the vents.

Heavy Staining: The dark brown/amber buildup on the white ceramic insulator indicates substantial corona staining or potential minor leakage past the shell crimp.

Deposit Buildup & Wear: The firing end shows a heavy crust of tan deposits and rounded electrode edges, which degrades spark efficiency.

Aged Threads: The dry rust and heat discoloration on the threads confirm it has been in the cylinder head for a long time.

‼️Your vehicle is idling horribly or feels sluggish? These are common issues with those concerns.

Airflow Issues (The Engine Can't Breathe)
Dirty Throttle Body: Carbon buildup restricts the main valve, causing a jumping/dipping idle and hesitant acceleration.
Bad Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor: Miscalculates incoming air, throwing off the computer's fuel calculations.
Vacuum Leak: Cracked hoses let unmetered air in, causing a rough idle and poor throttle response.
2. Fuel Delivery Problems (The Engine Is Starving)
Clogged Fuel Injectors: Dirty injectors spray unevenly, causing a shaky idle and power loss under load.
Weak Fuel Pump / Clogged Filter: Restricts fuel flow, making the car feel completely powerless when you step on the gas.
3. Ignition & Exhaust Faults (Bad Spark or Choked Flow)
Bad Spark Plugs / Coils: Causes engine misfires, making the car physically shake at red lights and drag during acceleration.
Clogged Catalytic Converter: Blocks exhaust gases from escaping, which chokes engine performance and destroys power.
