Charleston County Economic Development has launched its new Job Development Incentive (JDI), a program designed to help eligible companies offset hiring and training costs as they expand or relocate in Charleston County. The incentive provides $1,000 per new job created, with eligibility beginning at five new positions.

Companies interested in applying must meet the following criteria:
➡️ A new or relocating company, or an existing industry, that is expanding in Charleston County
➡️ Operate in a Charleston County Economic Development industry sector: Aerospace, Automotive, Life Sciences, Logistics, Tech & Innovation, Military & Defense
➡️ Paying at or above county per‑capita income (currently $90,550/year)
➡️ Meeting the minimum job creation requirement of 5 new jobs
