It's that time of year again! 😂

Over 20 vehicles dropped off last night, and believe it or not, you're only seeing HALF our parking lot. The other side is just as packed!

Our guys have pretty much unlimited overtime for about five months out of the year. And from what I'm hearing, most undercoating shops are in the same boat.

It's busy season, and apparently everyone remembered winter is coming at the same time! Lol.

Hopefully you've already booked your appointment. If not, you might want to get on that!

We Didn't Start Out Selling Rust Protection. We Started Out Needing It.

Here's a little look at where NHOU started.

That's my son Joey cutting rust out of our own truck. Our first shop was a little garage next to our home, on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. We were just trying to save our own vehicles!

The products available back then weren't designed specifically for automotive rust protection, and we felt they could be better. So we started developing our own.

Today, thanks to our customers and the people who've believed in us, we've grown into franchises, dealers, and automotive parts stores across the country and beyond.

But here's what makes us different. **We're applicators first, manufacturers second.** We treat roughly 4,000 vehicles a year in our own shop. We use what we make, learn from what works and what doesn't, and keep improving.

We're even working to introduce the **Public Fleet Stewardship Act** in New Hampshire this year, helping municipalities become better stewards of their vehicles.

A lot has changed since that little garage, but our purpose hasn't. **Help people protect what they've worked hard for.**

And none of it would have happened without you!

Attention City & Town DPWs, Municipalities and Public Fleet Managers!

Did you know your fleet may qualify for federal funding covering **up to 80% of eligible corrosion prevention costs?

At NHOU, we're working to help municipalities protect their vehicles, extend their service life and make better use of taxpayer dollars.

Our participating franchises and dealers can help you develop a comprehensive corrosion prevention program, explore available funding, and walk you through the grant application process.

And with **Rustfax and My Steward Registry**, the work can be documented with inspections, photos, videos and service records. Accountability matters when you're spending taxpayer money!

We're also working on something pretty exciting here in New Hampshire: the **Public Fleet Stewardship Act**, a proposed bill to encourage responsible corrosion prevention and maintenance of public vehicles. We're working with state leaders on sponsorship and hope to build bipartisan support. If successful, we'd love to help other states do the same.

Rustproofing costs money. Replacing a fleet costs a whole lot more!

No Snow. No Salt Trucks. Still Plenty of Rust!

Just because it came from down south doesn't mean it's rust-free!

Check out this video from Paul over at Rust Crushers. This southern vehicle has some pretty serious frame rot and some interesting white residue.

Here's something a lot of people don't realize. Many dirt roads are treated with calcium chloride or magnesium chloride to keep the dust down. Great for keeping the dust off your porch, but not so great for your truck! That stuff attracts moisture and can be extremely corrosive.

I know firsthand. Our very first shop was on a dirt road!

And here's something else we're excited about. With **My Steward Registry**, you won't necessarily have to look down south to find a well-preserved, rust-free vehicle. We're building a place where owners right here in New England and beyond can document years of proactive rust protection, maintenance, photos and service history, and eventually offer those vehicles for sale.

Imagine buying a northern vehicle with actual proof of how well it's been cared for!

Don't Give Up on It. Rustore It!

Got an older vehicle that's seen its share of New England winters? Don't give up on it just yet!

Here's a little behind-the-scenes look at our shop, featured on Motorhead Garage!

Nearly 20 years ago, we developed a process we call **Rustoration®** for vehicle owners who want to take a more aggressive approach to fighting rust.

We start by removing as much of that loose, flaky rust as possible, bringing it down to surface rust. Then we apply our own specially developed rust converter that converts the remaining rust to zinc phosphate while allowing our oil-based protection to pe*****te and do its job.

And we're not done there!

We document the work with photos, videos and service records through **Rustfax**, giving the owner a history of the care their vehicle has received. They can continue adding records and even use that history when it's time to sell.

We're not just protecting vehicles. We're helping people get more years out of the vehicles they already own!
