Quick question for the boat owners out there.

When you bought your boat, did you ever look at what kind of bunks were on the trailer?

Or was that something you didn't think about until they needed attention?

We're curious how many people actually checked!

Here's something a lot of boat owners don't realize.

Your trailer bunk board and your bunk covering aren't necessarily the same thing.

Wood provides support. Carpet is one covering option. Plastic boards and synthetic bunk covers are two different approaches.

So before you replace your bunks, it's worth knowing what you're actually replacing.

We're breaking it down in this week's Bunks & Banter.

We've all seen THAT guy at the boat ramp…

And let's be honest, sometimes we've BEEN that guy!

We recently asked our followers about the biggest boat ramp mistakes they've made or witnessed.

The stories did NOT disappoint.
A boat sliding right off its trailer.
A vehicle rolling backward during loading.
A boat floating away because someone forgot to tie it off.

Some were funny. Some were downright scary. And all of them reminded us how important it is to know your equipment and give your trailer a little attention.

This week's Bunks & Banter covers 7 common boat trailer mistakes and how to avoid them.

Your trailer bunks.
