Shop training is going well. 😄

Our youngest helper takes his snack breaks very seriously, and honestly, so does everybody watching him. Pay is in snacks, supervision is constant, and the training is coming along one bite at a time. 🔧

Family owned means family around here, all the way down to the littlest set of hands at the desk. He is not turning wrenches yet, but give him time. 💙

We have a favor to ask, and this one does not cost a dime. 😄

If we have ever figured out your mystery noise, talked you out of a repair you did not need, or got you back on the road when you needed it most, would you leave us a review?

Those reviews are how folks around here decide who to trust with their car, and every single one helps a small shop like ours more than you know.

It takes about a minute. On Facebook, head to our page and tap Reviews. On Google, just search Jenn John's Auto and tap Write a Review. Either one means the world to us.

Tell the truth. The good, the bad, and the "my car was making a sound I can only describe as angry," we want to hear all of it. 🔧

Already left us one? Tag a friend who needs a mechanic they can trust. That helps just as much.

Thank you for keeping us busy. We do not take it for granted, not for one second.

Last call, y'all. 🔧

The $80 cold weather multipoint inspection ends when October does. After that it goes back to the regular $120, and winter is not going to wait on anybody.

We check your tires, brakes, battery, belts and hoses, tell you straight what looks good and what needs attention, and you take it from there. No pressure, and no selling you parts you do not need.

Cold mornings have a way of finding the weak spots. Better to find them in our bay than in your driveway. (See what I did there🤣)

If your car has been making a noise, a smell, or just giving you a feeling you do not trust, this is your week to get it looked at.

Call or text 912-254-1726 to get on the books before Friday.

Winter does not care if your car is ready. 😅

Cold mornings are hard on batteries, worn belts give up faster, and tired brakes show themselves quick when the roads get slick. The good news is none of that has to surprise you.

Our $80 cold weather multipoint inspection covers tires, brakes, battery, belts and hoses. We go through all of it, tell you what looks good and what needs attention, and you decide what happens next. No pressure, and no parts changing just for the fun of it. 🔧

One thing though. That $80 price is October only. When the month ends it goes back to the regular $120, so if you have been meaning to get it done, this is the week.

What is the one thing on your car you know you have been putting off? Confess in the comments, no judgment here. 😄

Call or text 912-254-1726 to book your inspection.

Happiest of birthdays to our main man John! 🎉

If he's not under a hood, he's standing in a creek somewhere with a fly rod in his hand.

That's his happy place. When he's not at the shop, that's where you'll find him, or off hanging out with his grandson Logan.

Y'all flood the comments with happy birthdays for him. Bonus points if you tell him where the trout are biting. 🧡🔧🎣

What you doing today, John?

Today it's a sway bar end link. Small part, big attitude. These connect your sway bar to the strut and keep the car level in turns. When they wear out you get clunking over bumps and sloppy handling. And getting the old ones off? Let's just say rust doesn't negotiate. That's why John's hoping she don't strip. 🔧

But the real story is the whole job. Struts and hub assemblies, all at once. Here's why that matters. Your struts, hubs, and end links all wear together. Replace one and leave the rest, and you're back under the car in six months. Do the full job once and you're good for years.

We don't patch front ends. We fix them.

Front end noisy or feeling loose? Call or text 912-254-1726 for an inspection.

Let me tell you about the hardest working part you'll never see. 🔧

That timing belt back there keeps your crankshaft and camshafts in sync. Pistons up, valves open, everything in rhythm, all day long.

Now here's the part nobody likes hearing. That belt wears out, and when it breaks, it doesn't ask permission. On most engines today, a broken belt means the pistons slam straight into the valves. What should've been routine maintenance turns into a new engine. I've seen it more times than I can count, and it ain't ever cheap.

Here's what most folks don't know. You don't have to guess at it or go by some number in a book. I can pull that cover and read that belt like a newspaper. Cracks, glazing, wear on the teeth, it'll tell me exactly where it stands.

That's what we do here. An inspection costs a little. A new engine costs a lot. If your belt's got life left, I'll tell you. If it's living on borrowed time, I'll tell you that too.

This one's all fresh. New belt, new tensioners, timed to spec. Done on our schedule, not the belt's.

Bring it by and let us take a look. Call or text 912-254-1726.

Your pistons keep receipts. Here's how to read them. 🧾

A healthy piston top looks like the first one — carboned up, dark, lived-in. Thousands of miles of normal combustion.

A piston that's been washed with coolant looks like the second one: eerily clean. When a head gasket starts failing, coolant seeps in and steam-cleans the piston top every cycle. We even pressurized the cooling system and watched steam pushing into the cylinder — case closed.

Two clean piston tops side by side? The leak is between those cylinders. No teardown needed to know — just a borescope and knowing what you're looking at.

That's the difference between reading a code and doing diagnostics. The misfire code said cylinder two. The camera said why.

We don't throw parts at problems. We find them first. 🔧

Coolant keeps disappearing with no leak on the ground? Don't wait on it — call or text 912-254-1726 and we'll scope it out.

John is getting ready to lift an engine out for a swap.

Before it ever comes out, there's a lot of prep that goes into it, and the goal is the same as every job: fix it right the first time.
