BOSQUE COUNTY | Starting next Tuesday, July 7, TxDOT and its contractor will close FM 219 at Childress Creek to begin replacement of the Childress Creek bridge, east of Womack. The bridge replacement is part of TxDOT’s larger project to widen and rehabilitate FM 219 from SH 6 to SH 22. The bridge replacement is scheduled to complete by the end of the year, weather permitting. During the closure, detour signage will be placed, advising drivers to utilize SH 6 and SH 22. Local access will be maintained.

City of Clifton City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, July 6.

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great nation, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and memorable Fourth of July weekend. Happy 250th, America!

Crews are making additional repairs to last weeks line replacements on 5th Street. Please use caution when passing. Water service should not be affected.

Here is the map for tonight's events. The Kiddie park will be closed for viewing due to being within the launch radius of the fireworks. The fairgrounds will be open as usual. 219 is open this year, but parking or stopping on the bridge or the highway will be prohibited.

Tomorrow’s the night! Join us for one of Clifton’s favorite summer traditions at Fireworks on the Bosque on Saturday, June 27 at 6:00 PM.
Bring your lawn chairs, grab dinner from our food trucks, enjoy live performances by Rick Trevino and opening band Zak Webb Music, and cap off the evening with an incredible fireworks show. It’s the perfect way to celebrate with family, friends, and our community.

Progress is happening at Olsen Pool!

Today, crews are pouring concrete, marking another major milestone as we move one step closer to creating a summertime destination right here in the heart of Clifton. We know our community is eager to enjoy the new pool and we are excited to see this project continue taking shape.

Please stay tuned for more updates, opening information as we get closer to completion.

As we near the end of the summer season, we may even have a few fun surprises in store to help celebrate our new pool with the community.

UPDATE 5:10PM: The break has been repaired.

There is currently a main water break in the downtown district, some businesses might be affected as they repair the line. We will updated as the work progresses.
