Tip of the day! :)

I was having trouble braking while descending a rocky slope on Snake Lake Trail. After ping ponging off large rocks, Ben noticed the fluid on my tires so we checked it out and OEM brake line had sprung a leak. Without a spare line handy, we clamped a set of vise grips on the brake line to pinch it shut. This will stop the leak but you won't have use of that brake. It's not a big deal as long as you're careful, control your speed and anticipate the vehicle pulling hard in the opposite direction under moderate braking. 😀 I usually carry extra brake fluid, oil and power steering fluid but on this occasion that bin was left at home. So I got lucky when a tiny gas station/café nearby had a bottle for sale. It was the last bottle. 😬

Tip: Carry these items with you at all times.
• Vise grips
• Zipties and Duct tape
• Extra fluids (brake, steering, oil etc)
• Brake lines or emergency repair items like the Trailfix Brake Plug.

Snake Lake Trail is a lot of fun and not terribly difficult but there are a couple of spots you have to pay attention or risk major body damage. So slow and easy is recommended, especially in a brand new Lexus LX700h. 😁 Ken in his LC80 on 39s brought up the rear and as usual he had no trouble. Just a fun family trip to the lake for lunch!

Had to remix this. Don't risk your life tying up a hammock to questionable supports. Your chances of dying from a hammock are low but never zero!

The Kammok Outpost sets up fast and strong. The ball joint mount allows you to swivel the hammock for just the right position based on your campsite, sun angle, privacy, shade, etc..

While shooting content for the new GX550 build, we got hungry and tired. During our lunch break we got to test out all of this must-have camping gear in our LX700h. Some of us relaxed while this poor dude named Noah shot content. 😂

Bull bar has additional attachment points to bumper wings for added strength.
