A few scenes from around HXC this week. 🔧

There was usual shop work, moving from one project to the next. Skylines, exhaust systems, inspections and repairs.

What didn't make it onto this week's schedule? Friday Fuel. ⛽️

Our lunch-run department had a slightly more important appointment today — Nismo (HXC's Shop/House Cat) needed another trip to the vet. 🐱❤️

So we're giving Friday Fuel the week off and sharing a few moments from around the shop instead.

We'll be back to out regular schedule next week, along with information on a Trunk or Treat you'll be able to find HXC Performance at on the afternoon of Halloween! 🎃

First off, we owe a HUGE "Thank you!" to everyone who continues to support HXC Performance & Auto! 💜

The results are in for CommunityVotes 2026, and thanks to all of you, HXC has been awarded PLATINUM in ALL FIVE categories for the FOURTH year in a row! 🏆🥳

When we first entered CommunityVotes back in 2022, we were thrilled to take home Gold in all 5 categories. Since then, you've helped us take that one step further, earning the top spot of Platinum across the board each year!

At this point, we're starting to think we might need to pick another wall to use because we're running out of wall space! 😅

All jokes aside, being a small, locally owned shop, it means a lot to know that our community continues to put their trust in us, recommend us, and takes the time to vote for us year after year.

We wouldn't have a wall full of awards without the people who continue to support us & bring their vehicles through our doors.

Thank you for another incredible year of support, we look forward continuing to serve our community for many, many more! 🔧🛞

October is Car Care Month, so here's your friendly reminder not to ignore those warning lights and hope they'll magically disappear. 👀

Some are simple reminders, while others are your car's way of telling you something needs attention sooner rather than later.

HXC is a proud member of Midwest Auto Care Alliance, which put together this quick guide to a few common warning lights and what they can mean. 🔧

See a new light show up on your dash? Don't let it scare you — give us a call and let's figure out what your car is trying to tell you.

A little pizza can go a long way. 🍕👀

When Marco's Pizza first opened in Columbia, they dropped off some pizza at HXC to help get the word out about their new location. Well… consider the word successfully spread because -
Today's Friday Fuel came from Marco's Pizza! 🍕 ⛽️

Friday Fuel gives us a chance to slow down for a few minutes but the rest of Friday still looks a lot like any other day around HXC — cars on the lifts, engines being built, projects moving forward, and the guys working their way through the day's lineup. 🔧

That's really what Friday Fuel has become for us at HXC Performance & Auto: a quick break together at the end of a busy shop week, a chance to support another local business, and then back to doing what we do.

Thanks for keeping the crew fueled this Friday, Marco's Pizza! 🍕
(And if your delivery cars ever need a local shop looking after them, you know where to find us. 😉🚗)

It's always spooky when tools go missing & we finally figured out where all the 10mm sockets have been going… 🐀🔧

Now that October is here, we're looking for somewhere HXC can get in on a little spooky-season fun outside of the shop! 🎃

If you know of a Trunk or Treat happening in the Columbia/Boone County area — or you're involved with one and know who we should contact — drop the information in the comments!
Dates, locations, contact people, event pages… send them our way.

We'd love the chance to bring the HXC Performance & Auto crew out and hand out some treats to the community this Halloween. 👻🍬

(And if anyone knows how to negotiate with rats for the safe return of tools, we're taking suggestions for that too!)

Early morning? Late night? Weird work schedule? 🔑

We've got you covered.

HXC now has a secure 24/7 Drop Box for customers who need to drop off or pick up their keys outside of our regular shop hours.

It's just one more way we're making it a little easier to fit your vehicle's appointment into YOUR schedule — instead of trying to fit your whole day around ours. 🔧

Most people never see their car from this angle, but around HXC, getting to the bottom of things is what we do. 🔧

If you're looking for any of the guys around the shop this week, your best bet will be to take a peek in back & look under a lift.

And with Mizzou Homecoming coming up this weekend, there will be plenty more to see (& watch for) around town! 🏈

Saturday means Tailgates, packed parking lots, cars lining the streets, plenty of people on foot & a whole lot more traffic around Columbia than the average weekend.

So while the guys are spending today looking up at cars, this weekend we'll all be keeping our eyes on the road - and probably looking a little harder than usual for somewhere to park. 👀

Enjoy the tailgates, watch out for everyone making their way to the game, & M-I-Z! 🦁

It's already Friday?!? We may have been quiet this week, but the shop sure wasn't. 🔧

Today's Friday Fuel took a bit of a trek across town to pick up, but it was well worth it! Our lunch came from another local favorite — Murray's, fueling the community since 1985. If you give them a visit, we HIGHLY recommend the Philly Cheesesteak — a shop favorite! 😋

As this is our first post of the week, we wanted to share a few pictures from around the shop and let everyone know we'll be back to our regular posting next week.

Enjoy your weekend, safe travels & we'll see you on Monday! 👋

Friday Fuel came with a little extra horsepower this week. ⛽️🐴🏎️

Lunch made its way back to the shop while the guys kept things moving, giving us a slightly different backdrop for this week's Friday Fuel picture — a customer's Ferrari 360 Modena that's here for exhaust work.

As always, there was plenty more happening around the shop.

The RB26 we've been sharing has more progress since its last appearance, while a Mustang GT stopped by for a pre-purchase inspection, making a solid Friday lineup to wrap up our week at HXC Performance & Auto!
