On July 22, 1942, the U.S. government began gasoline rationing as part of the World War II effort. Americans received ration books that limited how much fuel they could buy, helping conserve resources for military vehicles, aircraft, ships, and other wartime needs.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the GMG Motors booth during the Morgan County Fair! It was such a pleasure meeting so many amazing people, catching up with familiar faces, and making lots of new friends along the way. 😊

Whether you came by to say hello, checked out our vehicles, snapped a picture with Zippy, or just stopped to chat, we truly appreciate every conversation and every smile. Our community is what makes events like this so special, and we're grateful to be a part of it.

What a week it's been for our favorite little mascot! 🎉 Zippy had an absolute BLAST at the Morgan County Fair meeting hundreds of amazing people, posing for pictures, getting lots of waves, high-fives, and making new friends everywhere he went! 📸👋

If you stopped by to say hello, took a selfie with Zippy, honked when you drove by, or even just gave him a smile... THANK YOU! You made his whole week! ❤️

We always joke that Zippy is the biggest celebrity at GMG Motors, and after this fair, we think it might actually be true! 😎⭐ He loved seeing so many familiar faces, meeting future customers, and hearing everyone tell him they look forward to seeing him every year.

Zippy wants everyone to know he's already counting down the days until the next fair... and he'll be ready for even more pictures, hugs, laughs, and memories! 🚗💨

On this day, Dr. Daniel Hale Williams performed one of the first successful heart surgeries in the United States—a groundbreaking procedure that saved the life of a man with a stab wound to the chest. Even more remarkable, it was accomplished before the availability of modern antibiotics and with only very limited anesthesia by today's standards. His work forever changed the future of heart surgery.

It took incredible courage, skill, and determination to push the boundaries of what was thought possible.
