A Carb Auto Care Inc Family-owned & operated, serving Columbus, GA since 1986. With over 65 years of combined experience, we value honesty & integrity.

Two locations to serve all your automotive needs. Best Auto Service and Brake & Muffler Service In The Southeast! A Carb Auto Care Inc was established by Charles “Mack” McClellan in 1988, as A Carburetor Service Inc. Two years later his son Jimmy came aboard to join him in the family business. Starting out in a small two bay shop, Mack and Jimmy slowly, but steadily built A Carburetor into one of

the most respected repair shops in the area. In 2010 Mack purchased and revitalized a neighboring exhaust shop, which at that point A Brake and Muffler was born. With honesty, hard work, experience, and determination both shops became a success! Mack worked the muffler shop while leaving A Carb to son Jimmy and longtime shop foreman, Paul Dudley. Unfortunately, Mack became ill and passed away in March of 2019. While grief-stricken Jimmy managed to purchase the muffler shop and began the process of streamlining both businesses into one, so on Jan 1st, 2021, A Carb Auto Care Inc was born. Jimmy and now co-owner Paul carry on the tradition of honesty and skilled craftsmanship that Mack ingrained in both of them. Good Morning, friends.
I want to put some information out before the rumor mill kicks in.
A Carb Auto Care is not closing!
I have spent the last couple months renovating the old office and making upgrades to our old facility. However, the Veterans Parkway location will cease operations at the end of may.
Lisa, Phillip and Robert will be moving to work with me in the old shop.
A Carb is strong and doing well. These changes are strictly to reduce my workload and stress levels.
We are proud to serve you and provide you with the service you are accustomed to.
God bless and thank you.
Jimmy

Hello friends!
Yesterday i had a negative experience with a customer concerning the Extended Warranty they purchased with their vehicle. I thought i would turn that situation into something we can learn from.
Extended warranties can be a useful tool in your car care bag if you follow and know certain things.
Here are my opinions based off of my experiences.

Research the company you are being offered. There are more crap companies out there than good. Endurance, Fidelity, Carshield and Route 66 are companies i have dealt with and had good results with.

Obviously, the cheaper the contract, the less they cover. I do not recommend getting the least expensive thing you can get. If you are gonna do it, go all in and get the premium coverage that the company offers.

DO NOT modify or enhance the vehicle, in any way, while the contract is valid. The 1st question i am asked when attempting to start a claim is whether the vehicle has been modified. This means tire size changes, suspension lifts or drops, performance mods and tunes. Any of these are an instant denied claim, in most cases.

Service your vehicle on time, properly, and save all receipts. They will ask for them, especially if you have an engine failure.

Read your contract, before purchase, down to the fine print. You will find that there are parts that are not covered under any circumstances. Wear parts such as brake pads, belts, and even clutches being examples. The situation that occurred yesterday involved a dry clutch set up in and automatically shifted Hyundai transmission. The claim was denied do to the fact that it was a "non lubricated part" Once again, read the contract.

I hope this info helps folks!
As always, if yall need anything give us a call. We are happy to help.
