🌩️ BEFORE THE STORM — PREVENT DAMAGE
🏠 Move the cart to higher ground or an elevated, enclosed location before flooding begins.
🔋 Keep the battery compartment, controller, charger, DC-DC converter, and wiring above the expected flood level.
🔌 Unplug the charger from AC power AND from the cart before severe weather arrives.
⚡ Turn the cart OFF and place the Run/Tow switch in TOW, where applicable.
🌊 Do not leave the cart parked near drainage areas, canals, low spots, or locations vulnerable to storm surge.
🚫🌊 NEVER attempt to drive the cart through standing water or salt water.
🌊 IF YOUR CART WAS FLOODED

🛑 Treat any flooded cart as electrically unsafe until it has been inspected.
🔌 Leave the cart powered OFF.
🔧 Have the battery, controller, motor, charger, connectors, wiring, and insulation professionally inspected before operating the cart.
🔥 Lithium battery warning: If the battery is hot, swelling, hissing, venting, smoking, or producing an unusual odor, stay clear and contact emergency services.

🔑 Do NOT turn the key ON.
🔌 Do NOT connect a charger.
🚫 Do NOT attempt to “see if it still runs.”
⚠️ Do NOT open, disassemble, or reconnect a salt-water-exposed lithium battery.
💧 Do NOT assume the cart is safe simply because it appears dry afterward.
⚠️ WHY SALT WATER IS SO DANGEROUS
Salt-water exposure can create conductive paths, corrosion, insulation breakdown, and latent electrical failures that may not appear immediately.
👉 A flooded cart should be professionally inspected BEFORE power is reapplied.
