This 2006 Toyota Tundra 4.7 could have made 400k-500k miles had the owner not neglected the timing belt. Instead it suffered catastrophic damage when the belt shredded. Now it needs another engine at 278k miles.
I'm transplanting a used engine with 90k miles that I've installed a new timing belt water pump kit, as well as every gasket and seal before putting it in.

Tackling a 2012 Chevy Equinox timing chain job that snow balled. These engines are notorious for oil consumption past 100k miles due to worn piston rings. This one has 208k.
Oil got low, tensioner let chain slap braking a guide and timing jumped enough to bend valves.
Cylinder head is at the Head shop. Going to throw new rings, rod bearings and a new oil pump in it. Fresh rebuilt head, new rings, new oil pump will give it a few more miles and hopefully get my step daughter back and forth to work long enough to get her feet back under her while she saves a down-payment for a newer vehicle.

Changing the AC expansion valve on my 2004 Toyota Tundra today. Glad I ordered the evaporator core before hand.

To everyone that reads this...
Get roadside assistance! Either through your insurance or AAA.
Your unexpected brake down should not railroad your go to persons day! I have Farm Bureau and AAA RV premium plus roadside assistance even though I have a truck and trailer. I've used AAA twice in the last few months to have my vehicles towed back to my shop after unfortunate unexpected brake downs.

Getting a lil work done in the shop.
Scheduling is a juggling act around when I have a sitter.
Jobs must be dropped off then picked up when ready.
I do not have a lobby or waiting room and I can not work with someone in my shop.

I'll be taking jobs by appointment only. I'm working around available of a baby sitters for my toddler. Looks like I will have half a day on Mondays, all day on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's covered.

I am back taking jobs by appointment! I will be working in the shop again around Dr appointments. I have openings starting this Friday the 15th.

I have this week left of physical therapy and I'll start doing jobs again by May 13th.

Therapy is rough but I'm pushing thru it. Seems a little better every day. Probably at least 4 weeks before I'm feeling close to normal.
Was able to record off the screen at my follow up appointment some of the video of my actual surgery.
