Sometimes the best race weekends are about more than the finish.

We wrapped up June by making the trip to the AMA District 16 & 23 Harescramble at Trollhaugen. Saturday was all about family—checking out the Mall of America and exploring the area before race day.

Sunday morning greeted us with rain, but by the time the flag dropped the sun was out, turning the course into a hot, humid challenge. The Norsemen MC Club put together one of my favorite hare scramble courses I’ve ridden, and the strong rider turnout meant there were battles from start to finish.

After a terrible start and forgetting to start my GoPro until half way through the first lap, I settled into a consistent pace and worked my way forward to finish 5th in +30A.

Weekends like this are why we race, great competition, a great course, and making memories with the family.

Work has been keeping me busy lately, and riding time has been hard to come by. After finally getting a few laps in last week, I quickly realized I wasn’t ready for racing, so I made the tough decision to sit out XMAS.

Instead, I spent the weekend getting my bikes dialed in. At the end of last season, I picked up a National Shock from MX-Tech and was blown away by the performance. The improvement was so noticeable that I chose to invest in a set of Blackjack complete forks for 2026 rather than put the money toward a new bike.

I finally got the forks mounted this weekend, and I’m just as impressed. The quality, craftsmanship, and performance are top-notch. Looking forward to putting some hours on this setup and getting back to racing soon.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there.

Some of my favorite memories are the ones made racing with my family. Those experiences are a big part of what motivates me to promote races and continue growing Valley Raceway, so other families can create memories of their own.

A special thank you to my dad for all the sacrifices he made to support my racing. Countless hours, miles, and weekends were invested to give me opportunities I’ll never forget.

I’m grateful to have found a lifelong passion and even more grateful for the people who helped make it possible.

THANK YOU!

The Crystal Clash set a new June attendance record with an incredible 640 weekend entries!

A huge thank you to every rider, family, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this event a success. Berm Basher pre registration worked great and we hope to continue growing that platform.

Despite a heavy rain Friday evening, we were greeted with beautiful weather all weekend. Special thanks to the crew operating the IrrigationKing.com watering system, the Xmas Motorsports Park and Valley Raceway Access Truck Parts-equipped water trucks, and Ethan on the dozer for delivering outstanding track conditions throughout the weekend.

One of the highlights was seeing so many first-time racers take part in the Little Legends Program, introducing the next generation to our sport. Then on Sunday, the Pro-Am racers put on an incredible display of speed and talent, capping off a fantastic weekend of racing.

Events like this are only possible because of the amazing racing community that continues to support Valley Raceway. Thank you for being a part of it, and we can’t wait to see you at the U.P. 2 Stroke and AMA U.P. State Championship

Ready for a great weekend of racing at the Crystal Clash Little Legends & Pro-Am Presented by: Irrigation King. We had showers overnight with possible rain during the day today.

We can use the rain but if it doesn’t we have the Xmas Motorsports Park and Valley Raceway Access Truck Parts trucks ready go. The IrrigationKing watering system is ready to reach the entire track as well.

Check out the pinned posts for all the event info. Strider and stability cycle race is tentatively 6pm Saturday with sign up the hour before.
