Did you know your tires have a birthday? 🎂
Knowing your tire's age is crucial for safety, as they can become brittle over time, increasing the risk of a blowout.
Here's how to check:
Look for the 4-digit DOT code on the tire's sidewall.
➡️ The first two numbers represent the week it was made.
➡️ The last two numbers represent the year.
For example, a code of "4718" means the tire was manufactured in the 47th week of 2018.
⚠️ Important: If your tire is over 10 years old, it's time to replace it, no matter how good it looks. If it has a 3-digit code, it was made before 2000 and should be replaced immediately!
