Starting your wiring project just got a lot easier!

We have released a new Smart Import feature in our Wiring Project Manager that allows you to upload files (documents, images, spreadsheets) and analyzes them to automatically create a project in our WPM. It pulls whatever information it can extract from your input and cross-references it to our offerings and flying lead template database to populate the list of wires.

We’re excited to announce the first release of the Wiring Project Manager (WPM) Public API!

Your own tools can now open, create, edit and delete the wiring projects on your account. They can also copy a project, check a draft against the same rules as the WPM editor (with pricing) before publishing, and publish it. You can create, edit and delete your own connectors as well.

The API reference is located at https://wpmapi.yourspec.com/docs/

To create an API token, log in to the WPM, click your name at the top right (Welcome) and select ‘API Tokens’, or go straight to the API tokens page. Each token has its own permissions and expires after 30 to 365 days.

We have made a big batch of improvements to our project manager, website, and services lately and wanted to start sharing them with you all in more detail! We're going to start posting videos highlighting some of these features first hand so you can get an idea what we have been up to.

First up is our template system for wiring projects. We've gone from just over 200 templates to around 3,300 with more devices and use cases considered. It is now easier than even to get a high quality custom flying lead harness made for your exact setup.

Our team has grown!

We are excited to share a new addition to our team, Julian. Julian has worked with us extensively in the past supporting our engineering work, launch planning, and PRI booth. He brings a strong mechanical engineering background to the team rooted in an automotive passion and we are lucky to have him working with us at our Dallas facility.

We have always offered project/R&D engineering services on a small scale, but we are now more equipped than ever to help out with projects of all types and design custom solutions for your project! If there is anything you would like to discuss feel free to reach out.

Service update! We have just added a new offering to our catalog, high quality custom printed heat shrink labels!

When editing a project in the Wiring Project Manager, you will see a new tab called 'Labels.' There, you can select label sizes and specify the text you want on the label. We support up to two lines and optionally a border.

Right now, we only have two label sizes available but plan on adding more soon. All labels are professional grade polyolefin high temp and smudge resistance to MIL-STD-202.

We would love to hear your feedback on this feature and also what size labels you would like us to carry, please let us know what you think!

Along with this update we have made many improvements and fixes to the Project Manager. If you haven't checked it out recently - now is a great time!

We're moving!
