Hola 👋 my names Zach. All of my training and certifications are from Virginia not here. Most people are aware that other than some high school programs there are no mechanic schools in Yuma. Which means most mechanics touching cars aren’t properly trained and/or certified. I used to be a Virginia State Vehicle Inspector for the State Police. I have been to different schools for automotive, diesel, hybrid/electric and high performance vehicles. I’m also trained in hydraulics because it’s what I did while serving in the United States Navy for 4 years. If you’re need of any automotive work within the foothills Blvd area please don’t hesitate to hit me up. I have 18+ years in the game. I work on every brand except for BMW (fellow mechanics know why, they suck). I daily drive a 2009 Mercedes CL550 4Matic and have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS, 1979 GMC Sierra with a swapped 5.7L Oldsmobile Rocket Engine and a 1965 Mercury Montclair. Like I said I work on it all. Any model years from 1930-2024 are doable. It doesn’t matter if it’s a diesel, gasoline, hybrid, truck, car, van, hotrod, boat, golf cart or atv. I can replace suspension (lifting, lowering, or stock), engine removal and rebuild, transmission removal and rebuild, differential rebuild, dashboard removal and repair, hybrid vehicle battery testing and removal (and possibly repair just depends on the issue) *I’m a certified Master Hybrid Technician*. I live off 35th street, message me anytime 🤙

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0L Turbocharged DOHC

This vehicle had a rod knock. Removed and tore the engine apart to find not only worn connecting rod bearings but also a broken crankshaft completely split into two different pieces.

After a complete rebuild (NEW pistons, rings, bearings, crankshaft, gaskets, water pump, all the timing chain components and more) the vehicle is now back on the road.

If you need a vehicle worked on here in the Yuma Foothills area please contact me.

We might’ve left 2023 in the rear view mirror however the roads in Yuma and the Foothills still suck to drive on. That pothole down your block is just waiting for you to hit it. Bad suspension can cause multiple problems for example engine and transmission mounts can deteriorate faster and tires can wear down unevenly *you can’t align worn suspension parts* not to mention you get a headache from all the banging and slamming just going down a straight road. Most manufacturers recommend that suspension components get replaced between 50k-80k miles.

New Year means New Suspension!! Make an appointment today!!

*I also install lift kits, lowering kits and body lifts/new bushings.*

*The pictures posted below are all from previous work that I’ve done in the past. Some back in Virginia where I’m from and some here in Yuma.*

This 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 kept stalling when coming to a complete stop and sometimes when shifting into reverse from park.
I scanned the vehicle and found DTC (diagnostic trouble code) P0113 Intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit high bank 1.
An IAT (intake air temperature) sensor measures the air temperature that is going into your intake. Depending on the air temperature the vehicles ECM (engine control module) can determine how much fuel the engine needs to run properly. If this sensor is dirty or faulty it’ll possibly cause intermittent stalling, poor fuel economy and the vehicle will run rough.
For this fix I simply pulled the IAT sensor from the intake tube and cleaned it with CRC Industries MAF (mass air flow) cleaner and then reinstalled it back into place. MAF sensors and IAT sensors are very similar so the MAF cleaner won’t hurt it. *I don’t recommend that you use brake cleaner or parts cleaner because it can possibly ruin the diode inside the sensor resulting in a new sensor.*
This customer now has no more stalling issues at this time and the DTC for the IAT sensor hasn’t returned.
