Van Hoven Automotive is a growing, family-owned automotive repair facility in the Dorr area. We service many makes and models with an emphasis on GM vehicles and service other domestic manufacturers. We are seeking a hardworking, reliable team player who is willing to learn all aspects of automotive maintenance and repair. State and/or ASE certifications preferred but not required. Must have the willingness to achieve certifications. Willing to train the right individual for the position.
Automotive repair does bring some challenges in the “rust belt” area where we live. The right candidate should be able to lift 50lbs and willing to work hard on some larger tasks. As a team, we work together on projects as needed to accomplish the final goal. We are looking for someone with attention to detail and someone who is willing to go above and beyond when needed. As a team, we share in the duties of keeping the shop clean, which means picking up after a task is completed, sweeping the floors and taking out trash.
We will provide the tools necessary to get a start but strongly encourage the purchase of your own hand and power tools for the job. All specialty tools and diagnostic equipment are provided and available for team use. Each day brings a new adventure as no two jobs are ever alike.
