The Animas River is flooding the valley.

Bring your wading boots and a good attitude and we’ve got a site on higher ground if you need one.

Red Mountain Pass CLOSED

Plan alternate routes around Telluride & Cortez to 160.

No northern traffic past Silverton.

Be safe out there.

🚨 RED MOUNTAIN PASS CLOSED 10-22-26 🚨
Overnight closure: US 550 is closed between Silverton and Ouray (Mile Points 71–92) due to heavy flooding and severe road damage. There’s no estimated reopening time.

Use CO 145 through Telluride as the alternate route. Don’t drive through floodwater or take unpaved shortcuts. Check cotrip.org for updates.

Ditches have been reclaimed from the gophers, drainpipes have been cleared, and auxiliary pumps are in place….. ☔️

We are deeply saddened to say that our sweet Morgana 🐈‍⬛ has gained her angel wings. 🪽 🐈‍⬛

The wildest of our working cats, Morgana was seldom seen by those she didn’t know.

She was the greatest hunter of mice and gophers, and the sweetest black cat once she trusted you.

Unfortunately she was hit by a car just behind the park on her way home.

PSA to SLOW TF DOWN!

She will be missed deeply by us and may she RIP and fly free ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 🐈‍⬛

We will adopt another barn cat who needs a home in her honor.
