Another busy day at Dillashaw’s Bikes & Customs. 👊

Knocked out four trike fenders today — three got paint, one got the cut & buff treatment.

Got the green chopper finished up in primer. This one is a Dave Perewitz bike, a name with some serious custom-bike history from back in the day.

And the ’72 Corvette is headed to Georgia next week! 🇺🇸

A little bit of everything in the shop today. That’s the way we like it.

1972 Chevrolet Corvette

• DOCUMENTED MATCHING NUMBERS 3
• FACTORY NM 4-SPEED
• FACTORY A/C
• FACTORY POWER STEERING

War Bonnet Yellow C3 with saddle interior, matching-numbers drivetrain, and a huge notebook of documentation including the factory tank sticker, receipts and records. I do have the factory intake and valve covers.

True get-in-and-drive-anywhere Corvette. New brakes, calipers and lines, great tires, new exhaust, new clutch, retro sounds radio, and rebuilt carburetor, plus more. Headlights work properly. A/C blows cold although the heater core has been bypassed

Paint is approximately 25 years old and still shows very well. Great glass, nice trim, and nice chrome. Perfect bird cage and absolutely no rust.

This is a special car. I looked at dozens and dozens of C3 Corvettes, and none road-drove or “survived” quite like this one. It has been driven and enjoyed, yet it is in remarkable condition for an actual driver

SHELBY COBRA — FINISHED UP 🔥

This one sits LOW! The nose had rubbed the ground hard enough to break the fiberglass and structural supports underneath.

We repaired the fiberglass and structural damage, repainted the silver, blended the clear, and refinished the satin black stripes in the lower section.

Back together and looking right. 🏁 This is one killer ride!

From repair to fresh out of the booth. 🔥

Here’s a look at the process on this Harley-Davidson gas tank — before, during, and right out of the booth. The paint is still fresh and it’ll get buffed and polished before it’s finished, but you can already see where it’s headed.

We also painted the Harley-Davidson emblems directly on the tank for a clean, factory-style finish.

Another one coming back to life at Dillashaw’s Bikes & Customs. 🏁

A little shop update from Dillashaw’s. We have Harley parts stacked up in the back room, waiting their turn in the paint booth, but here’s a look at a few of the projects we’ve been working on today.

The 429 Cobra is coming along, and we’ll have more updates to share soon. We’re also painting, doing bodywork, and finishing other Harley parts to get them ready to head home.

Cobra update

Bodywork is finished and primer is on. Next up is blocking it straight, reprime if needed, and then we’ll get some color on this Cobra next week.

Another step closer to getting this old Cobra back where it belongs.

Mix it. Stir it. Pour it. Shoot it.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at another Harley tank getting its first coat of clear at Dillashaw’s.

From here, it’ll be sanded smooth before we paint on the Harley-Davidson logo. After that, it’ll get another round of clear, a final buff, and then it’ll be ready to go back to the customer.

Just part of the process that goes into getting the finish right.

1972 Corvette

1972 matching-numbers, 4-speed, A/C, power steering, War Bonnet Yellow Corvette came by the shop today.

This old car is one of those that looks just as good in person as it does in pictures. An absolute beauty. 🇺🇸🏁

Ready To Roll

This Harley came in for a tank repair. We removed the tank, completed the necessary bodywork, and painted both colors and the stripe. We blended the colors, applied clear, buffed the finish, and reassembled everything before reinstalling the tank on the bike.

Another tank repair wrapped up and heading out the door! 🏁
