The Sheldon Pontiac showroom in New Brunswick, 1957, proudly unveiled the newly designed Pontiac Star Chief, evoking awe and excitement. Who still recalls visionary dealers keeping new model year lineup changes under wraps by covering cars until announcement day, building anticipation and excitement. Dealers like my father, pictured on the right in a black suit, hosted spectacular events inviting prospective buyers to view the new models, showcasing their innovative marketing skills and passion for the brand. They effectively generated buzz and enthusiasm in anticipation of new models and design changes for the upcoming year, leaving a lasting legacy. Unfortunately, such groundbreaking marketing campaigns are a rarity today. In addition to this photo, I still treasure the neon Pontiac clock, proudly displayed alongside this iconic picture at our Sheldon Motors sales office on Rt 18 East Brunswick, serving as a timeless reminder of innovation and excellence.
I am honored to continue my famiiys legacy and success my brother and father built in Sheldon Motors as we celebrate 70 years in business.
