🖤 🐦‍⬛ **THE RAVEN — A JAYCO TALE OF TERROR!** 🐦‍⬛ 🖤

*Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's “The Raven”*

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over camping trips forgotten, and adventures gone before,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“'Tis a salesman,” I did mutter, “standing at my chamber door—
I shall camp again... NEVERMORE!”

Through the darkness, cold and chilling, came a whisper, strangely thrilling,
Of a camper, sleek and lovely, waiting on a salesroom floor.
'Twas a **Jayco Twenty-Twenty-Five**, a dream that seemed almost alive,
A **210QB**, with comforts I could not ignore.
Then the Raven softly whispered words I'd never heard before—
“Pay full price? NEVERMORE!”

“Tell me, Raven, dark and clever, shall I find a deal? Oh, never?”
Quoth the Raven, “Leisureland! Their prices shake me to the core!”
For this Jayco, grand and gleaming, once the stuff of distant dreaming,
Now was priced at **$18,900!** Who could ask for more?
And the Raven cried triumphantly, perched above my chamber door—
“Keep on searching? NEVERMORE!”

Then I asked, my heartbeat racing, “What of winter's cold embracing?
Must I store this fine new camper till the spring returns once more?”
Quoth the Raven, “Fear no freezing! Here's an offer most appeasing—
FREE WINTERIZING AND STORAGE TILL THE SPRING! And nothing more!”
Then he spread his midnight feathers, giving one triumphant roar—
“Winter worries? NEVERMORE!”

Now beneath the moonlight glowing, autumn's icy winds were blowing,
Yet my heart was filled with visions of the highways I'd explore.
For at Leisureland I'd found it, and no darkness could surround it,
That magnificent Jayco waiting just beyond the showroom door.
And the Raven gave his verdict, echoing forevermore—
“MISS THIS DEAL? NEVERMORE!”

🐭🚫 MICE & YOUR STORED RV — WHAT ACTUALLY WORKS?

A WINTER STORAGE TIP FROM LEISURELAND RV! ❄️🚐

Every fall, RV owners ask the same question: *What's the best way to keep mice out of my camper?*

You've probably heard about dryer sheets, peppermint oil, Irish Spring soap, and ultrasonic devices. But what does proven rodent-control research actually recommend?

✅ 1. SEAL ENTRY POINTS — THE #1 DEFENSE!
Mice can squeeze through openings as small as 1/4 inch! Inspect underneath your RV, around plumbing lines, electrical openings, storage compartments, and vents. Seal openings with metal mesh, copper mesh, or steel wool secured with appropriate sealant. Spray foam alone is NOT mouse-proof! Never block required ventilation.

✅ 2. REMOVE ALL FOOD SOURCES
Empty the pantry, vacuum crumbs, clean appliances, and remove pet food, garbage, and anything edible. Even a few forgotten crumbs can attract rodents.

✅ 3. USE PROPERLY PLACED SNAP TRAPS
Traditional snap traps are a proven method of controlling mice. Place them along walls and in areas showing rodent activity. Use a small amount of peanut butter for bait. Traps must be checked regularly.

✅ **4. KEEP YOUR STORAGE AREA CLEAN**
Cut tall grass, remove debris, and avoid storing firewood or clutter next to your camper. Eliminating hiding places helps discourage rodents.

✅ 5. INSPECT YOUR RV THROUGHOUT STORAGE
Check periodically for droppings, nesting material, chewed wiring, or other signs of activity. Early detection can prevent expensive damage!

❌ WHAT ABOUT THE POPULAR HOME REMEDIES?

Dryer sheets end up working as perfect bedding for mice. The scent is temporary and after a day they become used to it and no longer smell the scent.

Dryer sheets, peppermint oil, Irish Spring soap, and ultrasonic devices should NOT be relied upon as your primary defense. They lack convincing evidence of dependable, long-term protection.

⚠️ BE CAREFUL WITH POISON!**
Rodenticides can endanger pets and wildlife, and mice may die in inaccessible areas of your RV. If necessary, use only approved products in secured bait stations according to label directions.

**THE BOTTOM LINE:**
There is no magic scent or product that guarantees a mouse-free camper.

🔑 **SEAL IT. CLEAN IT. TRAP WHEN NECESSARY. INSPECT IT.**

A little prevention now can save thousands in damaged wiring, insulation, and interior repairs come spring!
