Reviews like this help explain why Steve’s schedule stays full. ❤️

When you find someone you trust to work on your RV, explain what’s going on, and take the time to walk you through everything, you want that same person back the next time you need help.

That’s how one appointment turns into years of taking care of the same customers, and those customers telling their friends and neighbors.

Over the next two years, we’re working to bring Steve’s workload down from around 100 hours a week to about 60. Starting in 2027, we’ll be limiting our service area to a 20-mile radius from our location, mainly serving the cities of Tawas and Oscoda. Keeping our work closer to home will help us move toward that goal while keeping up with the demand in our area.

🤔 Question:
What’s going on, you been real quiet lately? You still in business?

🧰 Answer:
We’re still here, just down to the last 10 days of Winterization Madness! 🤪 The busier we are, the less we post!

⬇️ Here’s the scoop on our service schedule for the rest of the year.

With most campgrounds in the area closing at the end of the month, it’s EXTREME crunch time to tuck all the RVs in for their long winter nap. 🥶

We’ve already gone through four of our nine 55 gallon drums of antifreeze.

If you’re in our service area (Tawas & Oscoda) and need RV repairs, we’re scheduling all repair work for after November 1st. But call now 📲, because spots are filling up. 🗓️

We just have to survive these last 10 days of Winterization Madness. Then Steve will take a VERY LONG NAP to recharge before tackling November RV repairs before the cold weather rolls in.

From November 15 - December 15, Steve works a limited schedule handling emergency repairs only before we head to Texas to work for the winter.

Overtightened Screws Caused RV Skylight Water Damage

Sadly, we see this a lot with RV skylights. Cracks around the mounting screws can lead to multiple water leaks, but this can be prevented by making sure the screws aren’t overtightened during installation.

If you need help learning how to replace your RV skylight, check out our YouTube video titled “How to Replace an RV Skylight (Step-by-Step)”.

🌊 Shoreline Park is just another example of what attracted us to the Tawas area and what brings thousands of tourists here each season. ☀️🤿🎣🚴🏼‍♂️

It sure is hard to drive down US-23 without stopping at this beautiful park to get out, stretch your legs, and take in the view.

It’s also why we continue to support community programs, events, and beautification projects. Each improvement builds momentum for the next, attracting new businesses and talented people to the area and creating a snowball effect that helps build a thriving community, one project at a time.

Replacing RV Fridge Door Panels

Did you know that when you purchase a replacement gas/electric absorption RV refrigerator, the decorative door panels are sold separately?

You’ll need to order both the refrigerator and freezer door panels separately.

In this video, Steve shows you how to install the door panels on a Norcold RV refrigerator.

Note: If you purchase a 12V or residential-style refrigerator, the door panels are included, so you don’t need to order them separately.

Winterizing RV Tankless Water Heater Tips

To get RV antifreeze into your tankless water heater, you’ll need to run RV antifreeze through your entire RV plumbing system.

While each RV may vary, you’re looking for a way to use your RV’s water pump to pump antifreeze through the system.

Some RVs have an easy-to-use winterizing valve setup, while others require you to locate the water pump and connect a hose to draw antifreeze into the system.

Important: Always follow the manufacturer’s winterization instructions for your specific tankless water heater.

Bubbles are bad! If you see them on your RV roof, pop them, clean the old sealant and reseal over them.

Not sure how to reseal your RV roof? We have a video showing the complete process. You can find it on YouTube: “RV Roof Reseal, How I Inspect, Prep, Remove Old Sealant, and Seal Everything”
