At the BOD meeting on Sunday the final nomination and acceptance of nomination took place.

For State Coordinator Mike May Jr. accepted the nomination and David Duffy declined.

For Rider Education Coordinator Kaylie Morey declined the nomination, while Matt Davis accepted the nomination.

Mark Gates turned in a letter of resignation for the State Legislation Coordinator position.

We want to thank each and every one of these individuals for the countless hours of dedication they have put into our organization. The amount of time they have spent away from their family, missing events that they would have liked to be at but instead chose to put their time and energy into ABATE of Iowa. The thankless hours you spent behind the scenes and the many sacrifices have not gone unnoticed and for that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a job well done. We wish you the best in you future endeavors.

We also want to thank those that have accepted the nomination for stepping up.

We wish you all the very best.

This Saturday is the day to be In Dubuque! District 21 is facilitating two programs and they are not ones to miss!

Two Wheel Trauma is another cornerstone in ABATE, focusing on how Motorcycle accident traumas are handled differently due to their nature. This course is meant for those in Emergency Medicine to expand their knowledge and ensure motorcyclists are treated right!

In addition, the Accident Scene Management Program is designed to educate ANYONE on what to do in the event of an accident with a motorcycle.

Both these Programs are extremely insightful to the particular nature that is Motorcycling, and we can guarantee you’ll leave with more knowledge and a newfound readiness!
We hope to see you there!

Many good projects have taken place this weekend and last, so thank you to our park residents for putting in amazing work so far this season. We couldn’t have the beautiful park we do without you!
