It might seem weird but, you still need to check your coolant levels during the up coming colder months. Coolant (a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water) lowers the freezing point of the liquid in your engine to prevent it from turning into ice. This stops expanding water from cracking your engine block, radiator, or heater core, while also fighting internal rust and feeding warmth to your cabin heater.
