I have gotten several messages / questions so I will go ahead and address it.

Yes, the Premier Team has built a couple of prototype karts to do some testing. All manufacturers test …. Some are just more transparent about it than others.

I have said multiple times that I believe the V2 has been one of the most successful karts ever built for oval track racing. 100% of the research and development of that kart was done on Maxxis tires. Same thing with the V3….. all of that testing was done on Maxxis.

Many aspects of karting have changed over the last couple of years ……. And a big part of that is tires. Our team and customers have worked very hard to find ways to increase speed and drivability with the V3 on different tire brands. Tremendous gains have been made and we have customers winning on all tire brands across the country on both the V2 and V3.

Robin Bradshaw has been listening to our customers and our core team’s feedback for over a year and so now the goal is to take what we have learned and apply that to try and get more speed and further open the “tire window” for all brands of tires.

We did take a prototype to the track Saturday and ran it some in practice. The initial results were very promising…… but we chose to not actually race it because we didn’t feel the track was going to be good enough to give us the feedback we wanted.

We plan to continue to test prototypes while also continuing to race and win on our current V2 and V3 karts. It’s too early to tell whether we will at some point introduce a new kart or continue to offer component and set up advancements that have helped us win on the V3.
