Nothing says “I’ve lived a full life” quite like a diesel that can create its own weather system. This old girl still starts, still pulls, and still reminds everyone that maintenance records are just expensive suggestions.

For anyone wondering, that’s some serious blow-by making an appearance. Is it ideal? Not exactly. Is it entertaining? Absolutely. Sometimes you don’t need a compression test when the crankcase is trying to launch itself into orbit.

👀 Ford diesel doing Ford diesel things…

This truck was towed into the shop with a crank-no-start concern, and after digging into it, we found something that could have easily been avoided. The engine was supposed to be carrying 15 quarts of oil, but it only had about 5 quarts left in it.

Let that sink in for a second. This engine was running with only one-third of the oil it was designed to have.

Low oil levels can lead to loss of lubrication, excessive wear, overheating, and ultimately catastrophic engine failure. Yet somehow, this engine is still hanging in there. That’s a testament to just how tough these Ford diesel engines can be.

The crazy part? This wasn’t caused by a major mechanical failure. It came down to one of the most basic maintenance items that often gets overlooked: regular oil changes and routine inspections.

A few dollars spent on maintenance can save thousands in repairs and countless hours of downtime. Don’t wait until your truck leaves you stranded on the side of the road or ends up on a tow truck headed to the shop.

Take care of your equipment, and it’ll take care of you.

Moral of the story: Change your oil. Your engine depends on it. 🔧🛢️

🔥 FORD F-350 6.7 POWER STROKE MAJOR FAILURE 🔥

This workhorse rolled into the shop with no power, engine noise, and a long list of problems. After digging into it, we found out this truck had been seriously neglected. Oil changes were being pushed out to an unbelievable 30,000–40,000-mile interval, and the results were exactly what you’d expect.

The fuel system was failing with water contamination and metal debris throughout the system. The turbo was damaged, performance was down, and the engine itself had suffered catastrophic failure.

At that point, there was no shortcut fix. This truck needed a complete overhaul. We replaced the entire fuel system, installed a new turbo, and dropped in a brand-new engine to get this beast back to work.

The good news? She’s back on the road, running strong, making power, and ready to make money again. 💪

Maintenance isn’t an expense—it’s an investment. Skipping basic service can turn a routine oil change into a repair bill worth tens of thousands of dollars.

The struggle is REAL! 😡🔧

You haven’t truly experienced the full emotional rollercoaster of working on vehicles until you’ve snapped a bolt and immediately started questioning every life decision that led you to that moment. 🤦‍♂️😂

First comes the panic. Then the staring contest with the broken bolt. Then the bargaining with the automotive gods. 😭🙏

But when you somehow manage to get that broken bolt out on the FIRST TRY… oh man, that’s a level of happiness money can’t buy! 😁🎉 Suddenly you’re walking around the shop like a certified genius, acting like you planned it all along. 😎😂

No championship trophy, lottery win, or free pizza could ever match the feeling of seeing that broken piece finally come out without destroying everything around it. 🤣🔩

Mechanics know. DIYers know. It’s a small victory to everyone else, but to us, it’s pure magic. 💪🔥

2024 Ford Bronco with only 20,000 miles… and look at the color of this fluid! 👀🫣

Definitely not what you’d expect on a vehicle this new. Sometimes low miles doesn’t always mean no problems!

Look what we found!!!!! 👀👀👀🫣

2018 Nissan Pathfinder came in with low power, multiple cylinder misfires, and a motor knock. The dealership had quoted timing chains as the repair without doing any internal diagnostics… 🤯🤯

We cut open the oil filter and found TONS of metal. At this point, doing the repair correctly — and not just a patch job — means it needs an engine.

Sad day for this Pathfinder! 😬
