Even though we have to use reproduction parts sometimes, we modify everything to look authentic. This includes killing the shiny trunk mat rubber top and bottom, adding angle cuts and a round anti-tear hole as original.
Then we measure out the stamp placement from original samples and stamp the date/part number and vendor code.
Here we also see the difference between an NOS battery hold down and a reproduction.
The NOS rubber is much flatter in color, plus the connecting bar is flattened on the top and bottom whereas the reproduction is round.
