The Transmission Repair Shop of Choice In 1956, with the advent of the automatic transmission, Fisher Auto Transmission opened its doors in Fairfield, NJ.

When it comes to cars or light trucks - modern, classic or antique - Fisher Auto Transmission is the transmission repair shop of choice. With professional and courteous service as our hallmark, we have been providing complete transmission repair services for over 50 years. Since the automatic transmission was a new option on cars, very few automotive and transmission repair shops knew how to repair these new transmissions. In response, Russ Fisher decided to become trained in automatic transmission repair and became one of the first shops in the area to provide this new service. Today, the transmission repair center is operated by Peter Fisher. Fisher Auto Transmission has the technicians, technology, and resources to work on cars and light trucks. We can handle all types of vehicles from front-wheel drives and imported cars to 4x4’s. One of our strengths is in our specialized transmission technicians of all ages, with the experience to repair transmissions of all ages. The young men have learned the old transmissions, just as the old men have learned the new. We also have the most complete library of transmission repair from the 1920s and up. We are as up-to-date as today’s technology or as old-fashioned as yesterday’s. ATRA

A clean air filter helps keep dirt, dust, and debris from reaching your engine so replacing dirty filters when needed can help support proper airflow and reliable performance.

Not sure when yours was last checked? Add an air filter inspection to your next maintenance visit and keep your vehicles ready for the road.

October is Pedestrian Safety Month, a great reminder that every trip we take starts and ends as a pedestrian. Whether you're walking through a parking lot, crossing a street, or heading into work, we're all pedestrians sometimes and a few extra seconds of awareness behind the wheel can help make our roads safer for everyone.
