π¨ Snow Emergency & Parking Ban Notice π¨
Due to a snowstorm expected to produce plowable snow from late Friday evening into Saturday, February 7, Mayor Paul E. Coogan is issuing the following important notifications for residents:
βοΈ PARKING BAN A citywide parking ban will be in effect Friday, February 6th at 6:00 PM until further notice.
β’ Parking is permitted only on the north side of streets running east/west
β’ Parking is permitted only on the west side of streets running north/south
β’ Streets divided by a median may allow parking on both sides unless otherwise posted
β’ Parking against a median is prohibited
β’ No parking within 20 feet of an intersection to allow snow removal access
π ENFORCEMENT Strict enforcement will be in place. Vehicles in violation will be tagged and may be towed before and throughout the storm for public safety.

ΏοΈ AVAILABLE PARKING LOCATIONS Parking is available at the following locations for the duration of the ban:
β’ Flint Municipal Parking Lot β Cash Street
β’ Municipal Parking Lot β Columbia Street (corner of Hunter Street)
β’ Morton Middle School β Hood Street
β’ Maplewood Park Parking Lot β off Stafford Road
β’ DCR Parking Lot β Lafayette Park
β’ Former Durfee High School Parking Lot β Ray Street
β οΈ Anyone parking in a school lot must vacate by 5:00 PM the night before school resumes.
π RESIDENT REMINDERS
β’ Saving parking spaces with furniture or objects is illegal and subject to fines
β’ Use driveways when possible and consider sharing off-street parking
β’ Property owners are responsible for clearing sidewalks
β’ Do not push snow into the street
β’ Please clear fire hydrants and catch basins near your property
β’ Residents willing to help shovel for elderly or disabled neighbors may contact the Mayorβs Office
