🕊️ GOOD MORNING, FELICITY — BLESSED SUNDAY! ❤️🙏
WHEN A COMMUNITY MOURNS, LET LOVE BRING US TOGETHER
Good morning, Felicity. ❤️
Before our little town begins another Sunday, I’d like for us to take a moment to lift one another up in prayer.
Our community has experienced so much heartbreak recently. Families have lost people they love, homes are filled with sadness, and there are empty places at tables that will never quite feel the same.
And while life continues moving forward, we must remember that grief doesn’t follow a schedule.
For some, simply getting through another day takes more strength than we could ever imagine.
This morning, I want to share two beautiful reminders from the book of Psalms.
📖 “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.” — Psalm 34:18 KJV
📖 “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 KJV
What comforting words.
God doesn’t promise us that life will be without sorrow. But His Word reminds us that He is near when our hearts are hurting.
And sometimes, God’s love is reflected in the compassion we show one another.
A phone call. A warm meal. A prayer. A visit. Or simply sitting beside someone who doesn’t want to be alone.
Felicity, we may be a small town, but we have the opportunity to show one another an extraordinary amount of love.
Let’s be a community that remembers those who are grieving, not just today, but in the weeks and months ahead.
🙏 OUR SUNDAY MORNING COMMUNITY PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for waking us to another Sunday morning.
Before the church bells ring, before families gather, and before the busyness of another day begins, we come to You with humble and heavy hearts.
Lord, our little community has experienced heartbreaking losses.
Today, we especially lift up the McElfresh family as they mourn the passing of their loved one.
Father, surround them with Your comfort. Give them strength when the sadness feels overwhelming and peace during the quiet moments when their loss is felt the most.
We also continue to lift up the families and loved ones of Jerry and Beverly Ross and Joe Brown, whose lives were lost in the recent tragedy here in Felicity.
Lord, these families have endured a pain that no words can take away.
Please wrap Your loving arms around every grieving heart in our community.
Be with the children trying to understand loss, the parents mourning loved ones, the spouses missing their companions, and the friends wishing for one more conversation.
Bless our first responders, our churches, our neighbors, and everyone who has reached out to help.
Lord, remind us that the smallest acts of kindness can mean the world to someone who’s hurting.
Bless Clinger’s, our employees, our customers, and every family that calls Felicity home.
Help us be slower to judge, quicker to forgive, and more willing to show love.
And Father, when the services are over, the flowers have faded, and the rest of the world has returned to its routines, please remind us to keep showing up for those who are grieving.
Give our little town strength, compassion, and unity.
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen. 🙏🕊️
Good morning, Felicity.
As we begin this Sunday, please remember that someone sitting beside you at church, standing in line at the store, or passing you on the street may be carrying a heartbreak you know nothing about.
Be gentle with one another. Love one another. And never underestimate the comfort of simply letting somebody know they haven’t been forgotten.
Our heartfelt condolences and continued prayers go out to the McElfresh family, the families affected by our recent tragedy, and everyone in our community mourning someone they love.
When one family in our little town hurts, let the rest of us be there to help carry the weight. ❤️
❤️ FELICITY STRONG. JESUS STRONGER. ✝️
