After days of smoky skies, it’s refreshing to see the sun shining and the river looking beautiful again. While we’re grateful for the clearer air and a gorgeous weekend ahead, our hearts are with everyone who has been affected by the devastating wildfires. So many families, first responders, and communities continue to face unimaginable challenges.

Today, we celebrate 250 years of American independence and honor the brave men and women whose courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom built the nation we call home. The Fourth of July is a time to reflect on the blessings of liberty, cherish the time we spend with those we love, and remember the values that continue to unite us as Americans.

Today also comes with heavy hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by yesterday’s devastating storms in Walworth County. We especially hold close the families and loved ones of the three children who tragically lost their lives, and we pray for comfort, healing, and strength for all those impacted by this unimaginable loss.

From all of us at River North Boatyard, thank you for being part of our boating family. We wish everyone a safe, meaningful, and memorable Independence Day as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday together.
