When you need to connect multiple wires and refuse to use a wire nut left over from your hunting shack project 😒...

You can use a traditional bus bar but they are bulky, not generally water resistant, and usually built for 10-16 gauge wires.

If you invest in Deutsch or Amphenol style connectors, there are options for just about every size job. This is an 8 terminal single plate receptacle that is rated for 52 amp max.

I am slowly integrating these types of products into our wiring. It saves time and creates a cleaner layout. The additional cost is minimal. One example is our ignition coil packs.

If you use modern spiral wrapped noise suppression sparkplug wires, you already know the frustration of trying to use a digital timing light.

Once you set timing on a computer controlled ignition, it's important to check/adjust actual timing at idle against your map. I decided to trim the outer layer from a "sacrificial" plug wire as a test. BAMMMMM

Now I can check and adjust base settings without another person needed to hold the pickup at weird angles 😆

CAUTION: Handle the timing light pickup carefully or get a 40,000 volt surprise when you lean on the bodywork with your other hand!!!

We are working on "sub harness" solutions for triggers and coils. This will make it so easy to do things correctly you won't be tempted to cut corners!

We can reduce the 24 wires down to THREE!!

The connections are waterproof using OEM style professional grade components for superior reliability.

- Mustang MD1100 chassis dyno
- Electronic International PTO dyno
- SuperFlow/MSD style flow bench
- Dual TSI wind tunnels

A few weeks ago I spotted this East German Trabant in the weeds by an abandoned house. I've been researching them and found out less than 100 ever reached the USA.

Tonight we drove there and by wild coincidence the owner was there. Turns out he installed a VW TDI engine, airbag suspension, fuel cell, racing seat, and a custom steering using transmission parts!!

Although Deb Crowe was disappointed that I wasn't buying it for our anniversary, he invited me to stop back anytime. I offered to help him get it back on the road so perhaps I've got a new friend.

If you are using the IG-2 ignition kit (most of you), the ECU has a short pigtail for the dashboard. Adding the dash is super easy!

If you are using the 8400/8405 ignition, there is a harness required which connects the dash to CAN BUS and you will need to set the CAN up in your map, which is SUPER easy.

This past month a friend and I were working on a mutual project but we are 20+ hours apart. I have a dash, he doesn't. The value of the dash became painfully obvious because I was able to watch RPM and Ignition timing real time, without a laptop.

The problem was simple, but we didn't catch it right away 😕 and this dash could have saved us a few hours of head scratching!!
