Driving on worn-down tires is dangerous, but avoiding these mistakes can alleviate some of the risks.

Today Chris is installing new rear shocks on a 2017 Mazda CX-3. 🚗🔧

These shocks are being replaced due to mileage and because they’ve started causing uneven tire wear. Many people don’t realize that worn shocks and struts can affect much more than just ride comfort, they can impact tire life, handling, braking, and overall vehicle safety.

Did you know that most manufacturers recommend replacing shocks around 50,000 miles? While every vehicle and driving condition is different, having your suspension checked regularly can help catch wear before it leads to bigger problems (or expensive tire replacement).

If your vehicle feels bouncy, unstable, or your tires are wearing unevenly, it may be time to have your suspension inspected!

Did you know your cabin air filter should typically be changed every 6–12 months? 🤔

So what exactly is a cabin air filter?

Your cabin air filter is responsible for filtering the air that comes through your vehicle’s heating and A/C system and into the cabin of your vehicle. It helps trap dust, pollen, dirt, debris, and other contaminants before you breathe them in.

But here’s something many people don’t realize… cabin air filters are also a VERY common nesting spot for small rodents 🐭😳

If you’ve noticed:
🚗 A musty smell
🚗 Bad odors coming from your vents
🚗 Reduced airflow from your heater or A/C

…it may be time to have your cabin air filter checked!

We also offer a Fresh Air Kit service when replacing your cabin air filter. This treatment helps disinfect and deodorize your vehicle’s duct system where mold, mildew, fungi, and bacteria can build up in the damp environment inside your HVAC system. This service is under $50!

Not only can those odors be unpleasant, but prolonged exposure may contribute to allergy or asthma-like symptoms such as:
🤧 Sneezing
🤧 Runny nose
🤧 Difficulty breathing

Our Fresh Air Kit helps improve your vehicle’s air quality and keeps your cabin smelling fresh and clean. 🌿

The good news? If you bring your vehicle to us for service, we check your air filters every time during your inspection! 🔧

Give us a call or text if you think it may be time for a new cabin air filter!

A customer recently brought their “new to them” vehicle in after their previous car was involved in an accident. As part of our normal process, we performed a full multipoint inspection to make sure everything was safe and in good condition.

What we found was honestly scary. 😳

What should have been a castle nut secured with a cotter pin had been replaced with a lug nut and not even one with the correct thread pitch holding it together. This is absolutely not safe and could have led to a serious failure on the road.

This is exactly why we take multipoint inspections so seriously. Even vehicles that look perfectly fine can have unsafe repairs or shortcuts hidden underneath.

Your safety matters to us, and we would much rather catch something like this in the shop than have it become a dangerous situation later on the road.

If you recently purchased a used vehicle, it’s always a good idea to have it thoroughly inspected for peace of mind. 🚗🔧

One thing about being a small business owner… there really is no such thing as a normal 9 to 5. When our customers need their vehicles back, we do everything we can to make it happen. We had a few vehicles that needed to be finished by Thursday, so that meant staying late and putting in the extra hours to get the job done since the weather is finally a little cooler.

We may be tired, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you to all of our amazing customers for keeping us busy and supporting our small business! 🔧❤️

Today we were honored to stand alongside Saratoga Olive Oil on our side of Route 9 with American flags in hand to pay tribute to the Remains of 44 Fallen Patriots as they made their journey from Albany to Lake George. 🇺🇸

These 44 individuals are believed to have been associated with the Continental Army and died nearly 250 years ago. After seven years of careful work by scientists at the New York State Museum, their remains are finally being laid to rest with the honor and dignity they deserve.

This morning began with a dignified transfer at the museum in Albany before the procession traveled north through our communities escorted by New York State Police, members of the NY-Penn Military Vehicle Collectors Club, and the Patriot Guard Riders.

It was truly moving to witness so many people lining the streets to show respect and gratitude to those who sacrificed so much for our country. Today was a powerful reminder that even 250 years later, their service and sacrifice are never forgotten. ❤️🤍
