Your wheels take the worst beating on your vehicle — and most people forget about them until they look terrible.

Here's what's actually happening: Every time you brake, your brake pads shed fine metallic dust that settles on your wheels. That dust is corrosive. Leave it long enough, and it bonds to the wheel finish. Once that happens, a regular wash won't get it off.

Here are a few things our team recommends:

Clean your wheels at least every two weeks. If you drive a lot of highway miles or have performance brakes, do it weekly. Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaner — never an all-purpose degreaser. Those can strip coatings and damage certain wheel finishes.

Don't forget the tires themselves. Texas heat and UV dry out the rubber. A quality tire dressing isn't just cosmetic — it conditions the rubber and slows down dry rot and sidewall cracking. Skip the cheap spray-on shine from the gas station. It usually just attracts more dirt.

Most people don’t realize their wash routine is actually damaging their clear coat. Here’s the right way to do it at home 👇

✅ Two buckets — one with soap, one with clean rinse water
✅ Microfiber wash mitt, never a sponge
✅ Rinse the mitt in the clean bucket BEFORE dipping back into soap
✅ Always work top-down — the dirtiest grit sits at the bottom panels
✅ Rinse the whole car first to knock off loose dirt
✅ Dry with a clean microfiber towel, never air dry (hello water spots 💧)

Question….Where is everyone complaining and crying that immigrants are taking their jobs? I’ve been trying to hire a crew for the Roofing side of my second business for over a month!!
