Since 1996, Kings Driving School has been training Teenagers and Adults how to drive. We are a DMV licensed Driving School with patient and experienced instructors and a fleet of safe and attractive training cars. We offer Driving Lessons and Drivers Education for residents in the following cities: Glendale, Burbank, La Crescenta, La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, Eagle Rock, North Hollywood. We also provide a 1-hour practice test with an instructor prior to your DMV driving test on the same day.

The 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day, referred to as the 100 Deadliest Days, are nationally known as the most dangerous time for teen drivers. Fatal crashes involving teens increase by up to 20%.

Let's make it the 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 instead!

As April comes to a close, we’re wrapping up 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵—but the commitment to road safety doesn’t have an expiration date.🚦

In Southern California, staying vigilant is a 365-day job. While April puts a spotlight on the issue, law enforcement remains active year-round. In fact, today (𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟴) marks a 𝟮𝟰-𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗘𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 by the CHP to crack down on distracted driving.

You may have heard of "Operation Ghost Rider" in other states—in California, the CHP utilizes a similar tactic with 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲, 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀. These officers blend into traffic to spot distracted drivers before they even see a siren.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲):

• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗡𝗼-𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵" 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲: In California, it is illegal to even hold your phone while driving—and yes, that includes being stopped at a red light. 📵

• 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗽: If you use your phone for GPS, it must be mounted on the dashboard, console, or windshield. You are only allowed a single "swipe or tap" to operate it. 📱

• 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝘁 & 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝘁: Enter your destination and start your playlist before you take the car out of Park. 🎶

• 𝗨𝘀𝗲 "𝗗𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗯": Activate the "Driving" focus mode on your phone to automatically silence incoming texts and notifications. 🔇

Distracted driving is entirely preventable. Let’s keep our eyes on the road and our hands on the wheel—not just this month, but every time we start the engine. 🛣️
