WCDRA WINTER SERIES – RESCHEDULED TO SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans for us this Halloween weekend!

After reviewing the latest forecasts and considering the potential impact on track conditions, we’ve made the decision to move our Winter Series race from Saturday, October 31st, to Saturday, November 7th.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, there is currently an 80% chance of rain Friday night and a 70% chance of precipitation on Saturday. Showers are expected overnight and into Saturday morning, with additional showers and even a chance of thunderstorms during the afternoon.

While the forecast does show the possibility of improving conditions later Saturday, the concern is how much rain we could receive overnight and in the morning. A wet racing surface, track drying time, and the possibility of additional rain throughout the racing program could make it difficult to get a full race completed.

Rather than have our racers, crews, and spectators travel to the track and potentially spend the day dealing with delays, we feel making the decision early is the right thing to do.

ALL HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES ARE ALSO MOVING TO NOVEMBER 7TH!

We’re not canceling any of the fun! Everything we originally planned will still take place, including:

* Track-Wide Trunk or Treat – 4 PM to 5 PM
* Kids Costume Contest
* Best Decorated Racecar Contest
* Best Decorated Halloween Pit Contest
* Burnout and Wheelie Contests
* Cash Prizes and a Full Day of Racing!

We’ll shut down all track traffic from 4 PM to 5 PM for our Trunk or Treat so racers, families, and spectators can enjoy the festivities together.

Admission:
General Admission – $10
Crew (Restricted Area Access) – $20
Kids 12 and Under – FREE!

We understand that schedule changes can be frustrating, especially on short notice, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. Our goal is to provide a safe racing surface, a full day of competition, and a great experience for everyone attending.

We also want to make sure all the kids still get to enjoy the Halloween activities we’ve been planning!

Same racing, same Halloween fun, just one week later!

We’ll see everyone Saturday, November 7th, at Western Colorado Dragway!

Please help us spread the word and share this post so all our racers, crews, and spectators are aware of the change.
